So the Futures Game ended in a 2-2 tie. Maybe the All-Star Game will follow suit.

Hoping for another fun HR derby.

Vladdy Jr will be youngest participant in HR Derby history.

His dad won back in 2007 (iirc, Vladdy Jr was there with him). Funny enough, his dad beat a Jays player in the finals to win (the closest the Jays have ever come to winning a HR Derby).

I don't care for the HR Derby anymore. I don't know why, I've just lost interest.

Weird. With the new setup it's more exciting than it's ever been. Must be a case if being burnt out.

A HR Derby without Judge and Sanchez? Meh.

I hate how MLB does their break.

End the games of Sunday...give the players 2 full days.. Futures game on Tues., HR derby and a skills comp Wed with the game on Thurs primetime.

So do you resume the regular season on Friday after the all star game on Thursday or wait until Monday?

Only change I'd make is future game on Monday, HRD and maybe some other skills events Tuesday, ASG on Wednesday, Thursday is off day and Friday resumes action.

Best case would be weekend, but that'd hurt the league since weekend games are usually teams best attended games, especially for the summer.

Hyun-Jin Ryu and Justin Verlander to start the All-Star game.

There was a replay of the 1997 Home Run Derby on yesterday that I caught a bit of. The Home Run Derby format today is so much better.

I feel like I heard it before but Pedro is Vladdy Jrs godfather.

Jr asked Pedro to talk to Sr to convince him to let Jr in the HRD.
