Am I just an old fogey, or is anyone else kinda disappointed that it's been years since they've acknowledged rock music? I don't dislike hip hop, but good lord, it's not the end all be all.

I guess I am an old fogey because "back in my day" there were rock tracks predominantly featured on the soundtracks as well as hip hop. And it was cool, because it got people turned on to things they may have never discovered on their own. Now it's just boring.

It's not that important, just something that mildly irritates me.

I hear you. I even listen to rap/hip-hop probably 50% of the time I listen to music. I hate that there is zero variety. I hate country music, but even some of those songs were catchy enough to get me to listen to it outside of the game. Good news is that I will just play Spotify through my stereo when in the menus etc when the songs get old.

I'm 21 and I don't know any of the artist besides Snoop Dog. So if you're older and haven't heard of any of them don't feel bad.

They did say the songs were tailored to the NFL with lyrics and such. Ala Madden 2004.

Just a friendly reminder the ps4 and xbox1 can play spotify over your game audio.

I'm a huge hip hop head but I wouldn't usually classify much of what is usually on the Madden 20 soundtrack as hip hop. For pretty much any video game I play, if I want some music in the background I pull out my phone and fire up a playlist on spotify. Outside of the Joey Bada$$ and Token tracks on 20's soundtrack I probably won't listen. With my taste in music though I don't really have the expectation that any newer video game will have a soundtrack that I'm really in to. I don't ever go in to a game expecting to love the soundtrack because I tend to listen to more obscure artists and bands. Obviously from a business standpoint there's a reason games go with the soundtracks they do.

Garbage. As always, I'll turn all of those off and only play the NFL Films tracks. I just wish they had the classic NFL Films tracks without the modernized beats dubbed over them.

Nah not an old fogey at all you have your taste.

Hip hop/Rap is music’s highest selling genre and one of the largest exports they’re just going where the cash is most likely.
