Graphics of course but in some ways the animations were better. I would say you can make the case that madden was better back then. Post ps2 out side of madden 16 I have found eatch madden I have played and that is most of them has had at least 1 major issue that I would considered a game killer. I never felt like madden on ps2 had a game killer issue. NHL maybe I would say NHL may be worse then ps3 but better then ps2.
