does anyone else watch this... I grew up during the time it takes place, so some of the stuff takes me back....Im just surprised no ones brought it up so far.

I just started it and Love it! The only thing that bothers me is that this is basically Freeway Ricky Ross story and he didn't get credit for it.
Other than that the development of Franklin has been amazing.
Music is fantastic and I like most the characters. On season 2 already and it's been really good.
I know I feel kinda bad rooting for characters who brought crack into their community but as a business man I love watching people hussel and hussel smart.

I belive its only on season 2. If not I missed a whole season.... I didnt know it was based on someone's else's life seems like it could of been anyone.... I love almost all the characters but Jammin Jerome always trips me out "what's up nephew"

Season 3 is almost done it looks like.
Yeah I found out about watching Freeway Ricky's interviews with Vladtv on YouTube. Even the actor and how's hes portrayed is very similar.
Super smart guy, drove around in Hurst because it was the most unassuming car he could find.

There's actually a bunch of interviews with vlad, he's a regular on his show. I know he goes a few years back and there are hours worth of stuff but a lot of it is also him commenting with current hip hop news and rappers which vladtv covers.
