Is there any chance that you are starting to "get it" when it comes to running the ball?


What is it that seems easier? Better blocking? Broken tackles? Poor pursuit?


Running in Madden used to be a nightmare before 2011. Since then, schemes have been better coded into the game.


Be it real life of a video game, running is as easy as how well your blockers execute the play design, you runner having the vision to hit the hole and make people miss, and how well the defense fills gaps and tackles.


I do not play the current Madden, but I normally have to play on All-Madden with 0 user run blocking, 80+ speed threshold so that LBs are not burnt by backs to the sideline, and even then I can typically run all over the AI and human opponents.


Count the box, run to where you have the advantage, read the blocks and hit hat hole. Some plays will get blown up, some will spring you, but most will get you 3-6 yards if you execute properly and are running between the tackles/guards.
