Shot Meter: Make your voice heard
KSutton was savvy enough to start some dialogue about the shot meter showing online on the Twitter Q&A Beluba and other devs are doing for launch day. Make your voice heard guys:

Re: Shot Meter: Make your voice heard
They shouldn't show up at all. Every player on the floor shouldn't know the ball is going in before it ever gets to the rim. That's a game breaking change. And for what, so we know if someone is posing when they say "green?" Who the F cares? For that you change the entire dynamic of the game?Comment

Re: Shot Meter: Make your voice heard
EXACTLY, that's the craziest part to me, the justification, like...your man said that his shot was green and it wasn't, so now they can't lie!?!?!? Like, What?!They shouldn't show up at all. Re: Shot Meter: Make your voice heard
I still feel like the only reasonable explanation for that is that he was kidding about that being the reason behind it and it's something else that none of us are privy to/none of us can think of.
It really just doesn't make any iota of sense otherwise.NFL: Bills

@ForRightNow76: #2KDay @Beluba @kushmir https://t.co/TuibTud23s Can the ability to view the shot meter in Play Now Online be removed, since it changes the fundamental decision making (i.e. crash boards vs runout)?Comment

Re: Shot Meter: Make your voice heard
What was Mike's reasoning for this? To keep people from lying? Which youtuber fake rage did he watch to warrant this? I'm still confused as to why he thought it was a good idea to have the CPU show greens. Not once did I question if the CPU lied to me about greening lol
This is a really bad experiment...

Re: Shot Meter: Make your voice heard
Thanks ksutton for asking the important questions. This whole "green bean" lifestyle has changed the game for the worse. It panders to the instant gratification that this new generation thinks they need, while simultaneously ruining the fundamentals of rebounding and anticipation. I doubt they'll ever remove them completely, but at least removing them from CPU shots and PNO shots would be much appreciated.Comment

Honestly, I would love any MyPlayer/MyPark/MyProAm users to chime on this idea. To me, it's pretty obvious why PNO and offline users wouldn't want this feature, but I would like to know if this was a genuine problem in their communities.Last edited by ksuttonjr76; 09-03-2019, 03:01 PM.Comment

Re: Shot Meter: Make your voice heard
Remove it from all or leave it for all. So the user should see what his opponent sees. That way if you dont want it shown, then you have to turn your own meter off. The defense should have the same advantage as the offense.Psn: Alabamarob

Re: Shot Meter: Make your voice heard
I like the option with the cpu if we can turn it off as an option. Because, it will help me with my cpu shooting sliders offline. If i see Ben Simmons greening 3s then i already know the issue. But it should not be mandatoryWhat was Mike's reasoning for this? To keep people from lying? Which youtuber fake rage did he watch to warrant this? Re: Shot Meter: Make your voice heard
NOPE. I’ll never support imposing my play style on another person...as I don’t want anyone’s play style imposed on me.
Someone feeling comfortable with the shot meter and showing it to the opponent are NOT the same thing....whether we support it or not, people get to enjoy the game they way THEY like.NOTE: Any and ALL of my suggestions are specifically and only related to Play Now Online.Comment
