Bobby Wagner, hit stick, forced fumbles, NFL Blitz

Just finished a game where CPU Wagner had 17 tackles, 11 solo(all bone crushing hitstick), 4 forced fumbles, 6 pass deflections.

Guess how many forced fumbles Wanger has in his 7 year career... 4.

Guess how many pass deflections he averages per season... 5.8.

I like the idea of signature players but it would be nice to see a new feature implemented without making the entire game about the new feature.

This was also with me sliding/going out of bounds to avoid his tackles from halfway through the 3rd quarter to the end of the game. On two of the sideline tackles there was a fumble after stepping out that didn't count so he could have doubled his career total in one game if I let him..

End of rant.. bottom line, stop denying that there's a fumble problem, and relax the signature superpowers.

I've literally seen NO one deny there's a fumble problem..or was a problem.

Year 4 of my franchise with the cards. I probably average 8 rushing attempts per game against the seahawks. I'd guess around 30 attempts per game against the rest of the teams. There's no reason to run because wagner will force a fumble about one out of 3 tackles, even covering the ball up. Even worse, though, was I just played the chargers and they somehow had managed to get 3 X factor and 4 superstar players on their defense. I had 8 fumbles because I couldn't throw away from those guys. No matter whar, one of them was getting the tackle.

I just got the game yesterday. First Madden for me since M17. In my second game ever, I had 5 fumbles lost. This was with 4 minute quarters too on default All Pro

Luke K for Carolina is exactly the same. The silly NFL Blitz Superman style hit stick tackle animations are killing the game in my opinion.

Move the fumble slider to right around 80. And cover up the ball. It'll help

I have the fumble slider on default and have had zero issues. Protect the ball.

                Tips to avoid getting 'Wagnered':
                1. Run plays away from him
                2. Get out of bounds when possible (if not, do NOT use special moves)
                3. hold down on R1 when in his area
                4. use the conservative ball carrier coaching adjustment.

I've played games against multiple Enforcer guys without coughing-up the ball....
Play the games you love, not the games you want to love.

If they are real aggressive with a player like that then you can also not just run away from them but specifically call plays to ensure they are blocked and hopefully go right past them.

I've got a great pulling guard (DeCastro). If they are showing me the right fronts I can safely run Power because I know he's still likely to pick them up. Ditto counter. Vance McDonald and DeCastro make quite a 1-2 team on counters. If they force you to leave the back side unblocked by stacking the box you can still make em' pay, and now you *are* running away from the enforcer.

Count in the "owned by Bobby Wagner" club as well....I'm in year 5 of my Niners franchise on M20 and he is without a doubt the scariest defender I've faced. He's still trucking along as a 99 in year 5 as well.

Well, there ya go lol. There have been a few people that have also said to just avoid these defenders as if it’s a true remedy for the problem. It needs to be fixed though, it may not be a as big of a deal for people that just play one short game and go to the next, but it’s real bad for franchise and longer games.

I'm in my 3rd year of franchise and have none of these outrageous fumble issues that people are having

But it doesn’t mean that everything is fine. I’ve played with sliders and do other things like protect the ball, but the point is we shouldn’t have to go to extreme measures to not fumble. The fact that 80% of tackles by Wagner, James, Adams etc. are hit stick tackles is ridiculous. It’s way too arcady.

The animations for the hit stick tackles are totally ridiculous, yes and should be completely redesigned IMO, but I agree with Josh, you can do many things to keep from coughing up the rock against those heat seeking missile players. Playing on All-Madden, 15 minute quarters, fumble slider on default, with a ghastly Bengals Oline, Wagner had 8 tackles 2 PBU, and no forced fumbles against me. He made me change up a lot of what I wanted to do on offense, but that is what XF players should do.

Hit stick tackles OP, yes, forced fumbles, no longer OP, IMO.

Do this today: Instead of $%*#!@& on a game you're not going to play or movie you're not going to watch, say something good about a piece of media you're excited about.

Do the same thing tomorrow. And the next. Now do it forever.

Yeah you can do things to reduce fumbling and I don’t fumble much. With that said it’s still a problem. It’s a lot better than at launch but it’s still an issue. If the solution to a problem is to go out of your way to avoid it, then it’s still a problem. I agree, they should be gameplanned for, but that’s a different issue and is good. But having to go out of my way not to fumble isn’t balanced. Again, I don’t fumble much because I know how to reduce fumbling, but the cpu still fumbles a lot as well because there is a fumbling problem at the game’s core.
