Usually I could hit Triangle or the Right Stick but it's damn near hard to win a jump ball this year.

I have success hitting triangle as soon as the ref moves his arm to throw the ball up for the tipoffs. Definitely feels different then tipoffs in 2k19.
I have never got the timing down for jump balls from the free throw line. Timing there seems to be random.

I thought it was just me. Seems I have to hit it earlier than past versions. Idk if there’s a delay or something because it also seems like the game stutters a bit during the jump ball.It’s easier to do the right thing, than to explain why you didn’t.Comment

There does seem to be a hesitation after you jump, that is causing the CPU to get almost every jump ball. In close to 20 games played, Ive probably only gotten 2 jump balls at the start of the game, and only 1 jump ball due to a tie up. I dont mind not getting the majority of jump balls, but I want it too be my fault, and not because the game has a hesitation/ lag, that cost me the jump ball almost every time.Everyone who exalts themselves will be humbled, and he who humbles himself will be exalted- Luke14-11

I thought I was the only one with this problem. 2k developers must have been on crack when they made this game. I also got the "Corrupt File" on my custom rosters and sliders and they were both set back to default.Proud season ticket holder for the Oklahoma City ThunderComment

I've found some success just button mashing before the ref even throws the ball up. The center jumped really high the first time and my team got possession. The second time I jumped higher than the other center but the other team still got possession.
I only played two PNO-PC games using that method but my center reacted way better. I don't think timing matters at all. It seems like whoever's button registers first wins.

Yea, I'm having this issue too. I don't really know why they changed it or if they intended to but it is a little aggravating. I'm going to try to change my timing a bit earlier next time to see if I can get it.NCAA: Kentucky Wildcats

Jumpballs are better now, like IRL, you can't go for the ball on the way up.
