I use aim assist,makes the players rating come in to play more.Also produces a wider variety of goals.

I agree, but if you are going to play much HUT or Chel, you will need to be used to manual aim.

I personally prefer manual for offline.

The new contextual shot animations will change depending on where you're aiming too - so this allows some control over what shot you'd like to take, once you get used to the nuance of triggering them.

Plus, you get the added bonus of taking that skill online - which really helps.

I used auto for many years but I've finally grown comfortable with manual and how rewarding it can be sniping pucks into the top corner of the net.

Back in my 2k days, I always used auto shot aim as it allowed me to lower the accuracy a bit while still hitting the net a lot of times.

I’ve never tired auto shot aim in EA games. I feel like I get a nice variety of goals offline, but maybe having auto shot aim will help get more puck through this year? Seems like there’s a ton of blocked shots!
