    Time playing March to October?

Curious to know how much time you have dedicated to the games new mode?

SDS stated the time spent creating this mode was originally billed for franchise improvements. And they claimed it received the greatest feedback they have ever about a new mode. But it would appear from this site and others that very few people have invested much time into it.

I haven’t played it personally but I have a few friends who are playing it almost exclusively. They play it along with moments and diamond dynasty

I can't shave with my eyes closed, meaning each day I have to look at myself in the mirror and respect who I see.

I miss the old days of Operation Sports :(

I think I've acknowledged its presence once.

Never played though, it has no appeal to me.

Played through several seasons of it in the first couple months or so after release with various teams. Wasn't really playing for the rewards, just to challenge myself and get to know other teams rosters a little bit. And I took the Cubs one into a franchise that I'm still off-and-on playing.

I don't share my experiences around here much anymore for reasons, which is why I haven't posted much about them.

I spent a couple hours on it, but I can see myself playing a lot more next year, since I want to avoid online DD games for the most part. I think it was a legitimate idea but I hope they’re investing in franchise for 20.

spent a few hours a ditched it after I found out no injuries ( the trade system is a bit odd as well).

Would be a good maybe if fully integrated to the existing franchise mode. See it like an enhance moments in franchise.

I played it once to try it out. It was fun, but not near enough fun to have a second go through. Like it was said before, OOTP fills my sim franchise needs

Re: Time playing March to October?

I'm going to say this first and foremost....I love franchise mode AND diamond dynasty offline.

But, I think they made a big mistake by tying MtO to DD team affinity rewards (1. because I feel DD rewards should be based on using solely your DD team - which is why I loathe moments as well and 2. because it impacted the ability for users to customize the mode with rosters/sliders). NBA 2k just repeated this exact same mistake by tying their MyGM mode to a completely meaningless online leaderboard (effectively killing the mode for many folks).

I love the narrative aspect of MtO and I actually didn't mind the whole 'hot streak/cold streak' aspect (though it was a bit overdone IMO). I thought this could be a fun way to set a franchise story quickly for year 2 but the mode had flaws hampered its utility in serving that sort of role:

                        1. It got repetitive very quickly as the "moments" had minimal variety. I actually would have preferred that they added some full games into the mix so you could really enjoy the full breadth of the game.
                        2. There was no scouting/drafting/minors team-building component. Without this, you weren't really getting to know your system and have something to build for in year 2....so the only real "story" you were building was at the major league level (and there was no room for creativity in roster construction). This was the major killer for me...

If they expanded it next year to include more franchise mode aspects and allow for more customization, I think it could be a very different way of enjoying franchise which would have a ton of value for a lot of people.
Play the games you love, not the games you want to love.

Gonna give this a shot for the 1st time. If I complete a team’s MtO on, say, all-star...will I also get the points in team affinity for rookie, veteran, etc? Thanks!

Yes, you get the extra points for the difficulty level you choose. I think it's worth 60 for legend, I don't remember.

Correct - each of the Complete MtO's says on X or higher so completing on AS in your example would also credit Rookie & Vet.
