[PS2] NCAA 11 - Constantly getting probation, nothing I can do to stop it!

Ok so, I recently broke out my old NCAA 11 on PS2, and I'm running a dynasty mode. Now 2 out of 4 seasons I've been put on probation.

Issue here is that I run out of disciplinary points and can't do ANYTHING to stop this.

Is NCAA 11 for PS2 just terrible or is there something I could do?

I've even tried looking up Gameshark codes for the game and buying a gameshark for PS2 if I needed just to 'hack' the points total so that I never have to worry about this.

I now have lost 15 scholarships for the next 3 seasons due to this..

What can I do??

So how did you get put on probation? Typically this comes from not disciplining your players

IIRC, there is a time when you distribute points between 3 categories, one having to do with team discipline. I believe the other two are for recruiting and training. I think if you were to put more points into the team discipline category, you may have more in-season disciplinary points.

I could be wrong on this because:

A) I recently had a massive retro haul including a PS2 and several NCAAs. So there's a slim chance that I'm confusing it with another, but I'm fairly certain that I'm not.

or

B) I honestly didn't play '11 long, as I wasn't really a fan because of a number of other unrelated issues. So, needless to say, I don't have any prolonged dynasty experience to tell you whether or not it would make a difference.

Perhaps someone else can confirm or set the record straight.

This is correct but it still isn't enough points. I set my percentages to 60% discipline now, with 40% recruiting, 0% training and I still have run out of points after only 3 disciplines. Its crazy. Its like there isn't enough points to get NCAA off my butt so it just creates a negative cycle I can't get out of.

I disciplined players every time it came up. Unfortunately I would run out of discipline points mid-season and then after that anytime a player did something wrong I'd be out of points and couldn't do anything.

I'm having a blast playing dynasty mode aside from this issue, its really frustrating me, even after I'd changed my budget to 60% discipline, 40% recruiting and 0% training and I still don't have nearly enough points for the NCAA to be 'happy' with my disciplinary actions towards players.

How long are you disciplining players for? You start out with what, around 60ish points? If you only suspend players for a game or 2 that doesn't use too many points. Are you suspending every player for the whole season or something?

I ended up suspended a player for a whole reason because if I only did 1 or 2 games, the NCAA was still having a high suspicious rating on my team.

First 2 seasons I did only suspend players for 1-2 games and they still hit me for probation for 2 years, then once that ended, I got hit with a 3 year.

Not sure what to do to get it lower now(starts really high despite having a 3 year probation already slammed on me). Seems like an uphill battle with a negative cycle that I can't get out of.

for minor infractions, suspend a player for 1 quarter, not an entire game or two. some infractions, Id even skip suspending them. I believe that some of the penalties are worded differently, like accused and caught cheating are 2 different things.
also pay attention to who you are recruiting. some players are more than likely to incur infractions, I believe.

The discipline issue I had years ago when playing NCAA 10 (ps2) was too many players getting in trouble in general. During my UTEP dynasty I had 10 players get in trouble at the same time. Since several gamers have told me that NCAA 10 and 11 are practically the same game (laziness by EA for not changing literally anything except rosters), this issue as well as yours doesn't surprise me that these can also happen in 11.

Problem is that my NCAA suspicion level starts off so high every season now. I have to suspend a player 9+ games to drop it to even 'half' suspicion level which wastes a ton of points on one suspension. I don't know if shortening suspensions would help in this situation.

The one thing I tell my subscribers and readers is to find an NCAA that feel right to you as the more you play that game, the more you'll enjoy the little things about that game. Mine is 06, others will have different games.

NCAA 05-11 have roughly the same recruiting system. What part about recruiting don't you like about the ps2 games? They're recruiting is different than the ps3 games.
