Is it possible to cover anyone on All Madden?

Doing a 32 team offline league to play whatever games i feel are interesting. Every qb dominates for 300+ yards and 3 tds. The worst part is defenders just arent doing anything. Not breaking on the ball until its caught, not attempting to swat passes in their area. I thought one of the last passes improved pass defense reaction?

I’ve been simming all my defense plays which is lame but I find playing defense lame. Not a lot I find fun on that side of the ball unfortunately.

Yep, I would really like to see them tighten up the coverage for the user on all Madden.

It's possible but tough, in my solo franchises I play on all-madden. While I still usually get carved up by the elite QBs, I've been able to for the most part shut down the good to average QBs. Last night I played a franchise game against the Bills and was able to hold Josh Allen under a 50% completion rate and picked him off 3 times, all 3 user picks. I have found the only way to have a chance at shutting down the CPU's QB is to always user a safety or LB over the middle of the field. Last night in my game 2 of the 3 picks were user lurks where I almost baited the QB to throw a route over the middle and jumped it, the 3rd one was me switching to the safety over the top when the CPU tried to take a shot deep on me. Again it's possible to do, but I still get lit up by the elite QBs in the league most times.

Has anyone tried switching between the different coverage adjustments? Swat Ball, Play Ball or Play Reciever?

Has anyone noticed any difference?

Defense for me seemed to be a little stale while always using Play Ball. So I decided to try and use the other two. Havent played enough games yet to really say if I see a difference or not.

All Madden AI can be stopped. If nothing else six man blitzes can over run them since they don't block extra guys anywhere near enough to stop it.

Zones can do their job but you need to be getting guys on the ground right away more often than not if they catch it. You also need to be able to get pressure with 4. Send 5 too often and you'll get picked apart.

If I have a good game I can get decent results against almost any team. Game 1 of my first season Brady was held to 48% and threw 4 INTs. I'm finding the higher OVR QBs will test you in coverage this year. Two of those were users that I didn't need to bait - I was on the receiver's hip and Brady decided to throw it anyway.

Saints and Chargers are probably the hardest due to having Fearless QBs. If you let them get on a roll all of a sudden pressure doesn't effect them and that's bad because you need those off target throws to get stops.

Chargers in general are a pretty tough opponent. Derwin James is just ridiculous. Just like Bobby Wagner but the Zoned Out ability means he's everywhere in the passing game, too. You can throw it right in LBs faces this year, but those safeties you need to watch

I don't what to do against them, it seems I never ever pick the right defensive play and I never get pressure. So frustrating!!

You have to send pressure. Preferably wit MCV behind the pressure.

Yup, I second that. You also have to user either a safety or LB and roam the middle of the field. Depending on the CPUs playcalls sometimes you can take away 2 routes at a time sometimes even 3. I've been getting more user lurk ints vs the CPU than I normally do.

I’ve never been able to cover in any Madden on the easiest mode.

I play DL on every play.
