Coaches call the same plays all the time, just with different wrinkles & variations of the same play. Especially if the defense is giving you the same look. I read a few yrs back that GB ran 3 different pass plays the whole game & won the game by 2 tds. It's not rocket science, if the play is working run it until defense stops you (in real life). In Madden it's lame if it's a glitch and can't be stopped.
