Release a game geared toward the arcade, competitive crowd, and then release a game aimed at the sim crowd.
That way the specific teams can focus on giving their audience what they want and not try to find a happy medium.
If you're going to have a monopoly on the league you may as well utilize it correctly AND maximize your earnings. In the process SATISFYING your audience.
