Wasn't this also supposed to be on oculus? Looks like it was not going as planned and they are now rushing it out. I don't mind, but usually $19.99 price means that it is not AAA quality or close to it. Don't get me wrong, I am hoping they prove me completely wrong. I would be soooooooo happy!!!

It's an indie, niche sports title, my man. Price means nothing with these games. They have to set them low or nobody will buy them. Has nothing to do with quality. Even Super Mega Baseball is cheaper than a AAA sports game.

I'm surprised it has taken this long to get a new bowling game on this generation of consoles.  Always fun for local multiplayer, i just hope they allow you to create multiple bowlers so i can re-create Roy Munson vs Big Ernie Mccraken!

I was really looking forward to this game but honestly after seeing the video with the 1st person camera of the user when bowling, I'm pretty disappointed. That camera angle and interface just looks absolutely atrocious. I really hope that is just one camera of a few other options, I mean the ball just magically appears on the lane after you choose the direction. For $20 I might still try this one out since I've never played a bowling video game on a console. I'm pretty worried about the gameplay though. The career mode is what has my interest the most, I might wait and see some reviews first.

I feel so silly for saying this but I’m genuinely pumped for this game.

Has anyone played this game yet? I loved Brunswick Circuit Pro Bowling on the original PS4. I am curious what the controls are. I prefer the old meter style as opposed to being able to influence the hook on the ball after it has been released.

How deep is the career mode? Also what is the user bowling interface like? The short video I saw looked like you just point and the ball just rolls. Is it more than that because I would have liked to be able to see my player roll? Thanks

I have the game and played for about 2 hours the first night it came out. Career mode, and the game itself is very similar to the PBA Challenge game on your phone. I feel like you have to release the ball at the right time and straight up, or you will either pull it or push it to far outside. You control the hook by pressing right on the left analog stick. I thought the game was pretty fun for 20 bucks, but I wanted more of a simulation and definitely more pros. If I remember correctly, there are only 17 pros in it, and only half are unlocked at the beginning. Just like the game on your phone, you have to either unlock pros by beating them, or by using gold pins. Same thing with buying bowling balls. You have to unlock them by leveling up, using tickets or buying with gold pins. You also have to unlock certain oil patterns and venues. They did not have the option to create PBA bowlers.

The other thing I failed to mention in my last post that's cool, are the different oil patterns. You have to throw different shots on different patterns just like if you were bowling in real life on the pro tour. However, it doesn't appear that the oil pattern dries up the more you throw which sucks.

I have it on PC and  simulation mode is the way to go. You have to set hook and spin before you throw. Apparently they are adding  sim mode to console versions soon but if PC isn’t an option I’d maybe wait till they update it.

as far as the game. I love it. It is very very similar to the PBA bowling game, which is free, so maybe worth a try if you are on the fence. The game seems to be taking a lot of heat for how similar it is to the mobile game but to me that isn’t a bad thing. The mobile game is great and got fantastic reviews.  If it was just carbon copy then ok but basically they took a good formula, added a much needed simulation mode, commentary, and in my opinion, excellent presentation . That’s pretty cool in my books.

At the end of the day it’s bowling. How exciting can that get? Lol I personally am having a ton of fun with it and I really appreciate the use of the PBA license.

I read a review that the author was questioning why this game exists? He  went on to say the bowling aspect was well done but rated it poorly because he didn’t see the need for a  realistic PBA licensed bowling game. I just can’t wrap my head around why you’d even review the game if you didn’t even care about the subject matter. Like Bill Burr said, it’s like a man writing a book “pregnancy and the third trimester:what to expect.” Lol
