2k secretely halved the VC for endorsment incentives in MyCareer

If you are completely out of MyCareer mode it may not sound as a big deal.

Otherwise you should be really pissed with 2k, as I am.

The reduction automatically applied to existing contracts too.

    This is going beyond ridiculous

    Shame on you, 2k

Not just events, but all the performance incentives too.

Eg before was 2 VC for each point scored, now it's 1.

If you sum up all the incentives for all the mycareer games it's a huge loss in vc earnings.

2K being greedy once again. I'm not surprised.

Doesn't matter. There will be no penalty to 2k. They can do whatever they want and people will complain but they'll keep buying the game. So why should 2k care?

Thats some BS as it pretty expensive to level up your player.

Glad im happy with my C and he is already 92.......

i thought they only did it in the beginning portion of your career. but if what the op is saying is true. I will no longer side with 2k when it comes to guys VC glitching. because to me that is a VC glitch for the company. and to not say that out loud is super sneaky.

Re: 2k secretely halved the VC for endorsment incentives in MyCareer

The 10k endorsement is down to 8,500.

When you start a career without college, your salary used to be 750 VC. Now starting straight in the NBA gives a salary of 500 VC.

Other endorsements are mostly giving half value now.

I don't even know what to say. This was one of the first years I felt like I could level to a reasonable spot. And they do this.

Dead serious. I think I might just get Madden next year and call it a year for sports. Honestly I don't even want to play 2k after seeing this news. Makes me sick

I signed a virtual contract. Literally. A contract to get paid a certain amount of VC. Now they do this? They should get sued

Re: 2k secretely halved the VC for endorsment incentives in MyCareer

VC implementation has been the death of 1000 cuts to this series since it was introduced. They tie it to every mode and make it hard as heck to earn an amount good enough to help you. I remember 2k even cut the amount of VC u could earn by watching 2ktv a year or two ago
EA and 2k have the unfortunate task of trying to balance on a tightrope of fun and sim while trying not to fall 10,000 feet to their death. Instead of a safety net waiting down below there will just be angry customers quick to move out of the way and talk of their failure.

They did this last year as well but whining is more prevalent this year.

Nah the 2k Avengers will still assemble. They realized it was actually possible to make a decent player without spending money,

And once again in an attempt to sell more VC they do something like this. I was wondering why my 10k contracts all of a sudden were a different number. I thought it was glitched.
                        ... But hey VC sale!!

This is terrible. I haven't played 2k in a while but now with this I'm losing motivation to play MyCareer again. I'm a don't buy VC grind it out guy this just makes an already hard and long grind worse.

No, they never did something like that before.

And your "whining" sounds like coming from someone either not giving a f* about the mode or not giving a f* about spending money for VC

Some guy in a suit was probably in a meeting wondering why they're not making as much off VC as last year, so now they're cutting back on the tax writeoff VC.
