I don't think we have much choice, do we? This is the worst QB depth I have ever had the pleasure of using (other than Barnett)

Being able to recruit in-state is going to make this rebuild much easier for you. Do you have plans of moving into a P5 conference after a few seasons of dominance down the road? If so, are you eyeing the ACC or SEC?

Having the ability to recruit in a state like Florida will as you say make this slightly easier, however as you well know there are some big schools in this state alone to contend with and with the restrictions I have implemented where I will not be using the in-game perks with recruiting, I am hoping to keep it as realistic on this front as possible.

There are always plans to move to a P5 conference, that is the steady progression that any school should have even more so now with the playoff system and the importance of schedule strength. Obviously the SEC would be the most appealing to me out of the two you have mentioned but the ACC could also be a possibility, it may, in the end, come down to what the college football world looks like when this USF team is ready to make that step up.

South Florida | Jordan Cronkrite out for at least seven weeks.

Tampa, Florida -- It was pretty evident that when senior running back Jordan Cronkrite was carted out of practice today that this wasn't just a bruise, and the serious concerns upon all the Bulls coaching staff were clear for all to see.

Those concerns were confirmed today with the news that pretty much everyone expected that Cronkrite did, in fact, suffer a severe sprain to his MCL in his right leg and will miss at least the first seven weeks of the season.

"It's very disheartening for the young kid, that's for sure," head coach Charlie Strong said today. "We knew right away that this wasn't just a shin splint, you could clearly see it was more than that by the way he was holding his knee and it was just a matter of getting it confirmed. Seven weeks alone, maybe more for this type of thing to heal, then there is the rehab, it could be a bit longer for all we know."

It is expected that the Bulls will now turn to junior Odunayo Seriki or senior Trevon Sands to be the main ball carrier but I would expect to see both come into the games often.

Sands is the more senior of the two and has seen playing time at running back whereas Seriki only made plays on special teams; this really is a big injury for the USF offense, one they could certainly do without before the season has even kicked off.

Along with the injury to Cronkrite, the Bulls coaching staff confirmed that sophomore defensive end Jabreel Stephens is likely to miss up to nine weeks with an Adductor Sprain which was picked up during weight training last week.

Thats a huge blow to the run game. Cronkite on paper looked to be your best player.

I do like Seriki's speed #'s though. Maybe he can be a little Lighting to go with the Thunder.

Format looks good so far. Looking forward to following.

                      2019 SEASON PREVIEW.....2019 ROSTER.....2019 SCHEDULE.....

                      #19 WISCONSIN BADGERS (0-0, 0-0) AT. SOUTH FLORIDA BULLS (0-0, 0-0)

TAMPA, Florida -- Heisman candidate Jonathan Taylor is off and running and so are the 19th ranked Wisconsin Badgers who breezed past South Florida with relative ease on a warm Friday evening inside Raymond James Stadium.

Continuing on from where he left off a season ago when he led the nation in rushing with 2,194 yards and 16 touchdowns, Taylor ran for 112 yards and accounted for a single touchdown to help Wisconsin open the season with a 28-7 rout of South Florida.

"When you work all offseason as I have," Taylor said after the game. "It feels good to get off on the right foot, it's not a performance that is going to win me the Heisman after one week but its certainly a good placement going into this season."

Wisconsin's defense delivered a very dominating performance, too, limiting South Florida to 215 total yards offensively and forced a single turnover, a forced fumble/recovery from defensive tackle Bryson Williams. Wisconsin was led by defensive end Isaiahh Loudermilk who was a continued presence in the South Florida backfield and the junior recorded four tackles for losses and two sacks.

"Isaiahh was a force to be reckoned with today, he was patient early on," Wisconsin head coach Paul Chryst said. "Their tackle just couldn't run with him, I hope this is just the start for him."

Jack Coan, who was opening the season as the Badgers starting quarterback for the first time bounced back after a few early overthrown passes to finish the game with 289-yards and two touchdowns.

This loss marked seven straight for USF, who dropped their final six games of last season, that after starting the year 7-0.

Blake Barnett completed 13 of 28 passes for 103 yards for the Bulls. He also threw a touchdown pass to senior tight end, Mitchell Wilcox.

"The team that played out there tonight is not the team that we are," USF head coach Charlie Strong said after the game. "We look out of our depth all game, hey controlled the clock, we made to many mental mistakes and once they got up on the scoreboard we were always chasing the game."

Without star running back Jordan Cronkrite, South Florida struggled to find a quick answer Odunayo Seriki and Trevon Sands combined for just 68-yards and quarterback Blake Barnett was at fault for a fumble.

Next week, South Florida (0-1, 0-0) travel to Atlanta, Georgia where they face off against the Georgia Tech Yellow Jackets (0-1, 0-1) who are coming off a 59-14 loss to #1 ranked Clemson, in that game Yellow Jackets quarterback Tobias Oliver threw five interceptions.

Thanks for the kind words. You are 100% right that wasn't a game I was expecting to win and to be fair I am just happy we kept them to just 28 points as that scoreline really didn't tell the full story of how this one played out.

Through two games I am also not a fan of Blake Barnett, he is too conservative in the CPUvsCPU sim, but hopefully that will change. It's going to be a true freshman starting next season that is for sure, 3-Star prospect Beau Adams looks like my type of QB but I have to convince him to come to Tampa instead of Gainesville.
