Exactly this. My excitement for this news is lukewarm, because I don't have much trust that EA will put out a college game that is as good as it SHOULD be.

I don't know. IN my opinion on the ps3/xbox360 NCAA Football was always better than Madden. on the ps2 the NCAA Football game was on par with Madden at the time. Ill even say NCAA Football has been better than Madden since the 07 release.
These are two different development teams I assume. so I have faith that the same quality for the NCAA title will carry through to the next gen release, if we ever get one.

with all this said I doubt that we'll see a NCAA title in ay sport for at least 5 years. player likeliness is only one issue.
Now they have to figure out how to set up a pay scale, for players and schools, and how that translates to merchandise, video games etc.

this news still makes thing complex, unless these developers just incorporate the schools in games without player likeliness.

Man, too true. We should be tempering our expectations for any future NCAA game based on how good Madden 20 was, and not how good NCAA 14 was.

I'm very excited, can't wait. I hope they make not only football but basketball and baseball and even hockey. I would buy all those games. People worried about EA, who is to say 2k won't jump back in? They did have a college hoops game at the end.

Geez, Debbie Downer over here. Assuming NCAA 22 is the target date (PS5), we're talking 8 years without a new NCAA game, if that doesn't get you excited then just stick with NCAA 14 and PS3 graphics.

I'm pretty excited. The fun for me is playing matchups that will never happen in college football's regular season like Alabama (Roll Tide!) vs. Baylor, and fun things like that. Seeing the different stadiums is fun too. I don't get into Madden-bashing because it suits my needs just fine, although admittedly it feels mostly the same year after year. I'm happy, if it happens.

It'll be an EA game, so I'm not at all excited. A bad football game with college football skin slapped on doesn't suddenly make it good.

....so the draw here is the graphics? No wonder EA can continue to pump out crap and people eat it up.

This big. I just wish they would make NCAA14 backwards compatible and add the playoff system and let us import into M20.That will give us something why we wait.

I'm super excited and here is why; when the NCAA series got cancelled it was disappointing because that was/is my favorite game series of all-time bar none. But not only that....it also impacted how I felt about Madden from that point forward as well. For the longest, I looked at those 2 titles as one. You get NCAA in July, play dynasty mode, get you some draft classes ready and then Madden hits in August. Import those draft classes and the two games work together. But, once NCAA was taken away, playing Madden wasn't the same. Playing video games period haven't been the same. Heck, it's the reason I still play NCAA 14 to this day; the reason why I went and bought 10, 11 and 12 two months ago.

So, getting my favorite title back in whatever form or fashion has me lit!

I also have faith in Haumiller and Rex if they're back at the helm of it. They were always reliable on the franchise, they just didnt have the resources yet for a lot of things we wished. And it sounded like they were gonna give us a lot if College Football 15 was a thing on X1 and PS4

Man...really really really hoping NCAA games come back!!

I had so much fun building Purdue into a powerhouse in the early 2000s (something that can only be done in a video game...hah) ---- always found the college games to be more fun from a Dynasty point of view compared to Madden.
