Content Update 3 - details and progress

Hi Everyone.


This post will outline what we're currently working on for Maximum Football Content Update #3. It will be updated on a regular basis so be sure to check back often.


3.0.70 / 1.04

• Various small adjustments to receiver animation to smooth out the catch and turn.
• Updated the in-game help screens.
• [Dynasty] Updated the default rosters for dynasty mode.
• [Dynasty] Corrected the player height/weight calculation process. You should no longer get a 5' 8" - 250lbs Defensive Back.
• Improved the movement process for players assigned to block in the backfield.
• For US College Football rules, the quarter clock stops on a first down. This clock will now restart as soon as the offensive team breaks the huddle. This is being done to emulate the quarter clock restarting after the 'move the chains' process that would happen in a real game.
• [Dynasty] Added support for multiple schedules. Now the game will load one of a collection of pre-made schedules instead of using the same scheduled (but flipped) from year to year.
• [Dynasty] Update starting interest in schools to make sure it's not the same teams for everyone.
• [Dynasty] Made sure the interest indicators show the top interest teams.
• [Dynasty] Now properly assign freshman jersey numbers to players.
• [Dynasty] Committed players now properly display in the recruiting priorities screen.
• [Dynasty] Scholarships are returned to the school if the prospect is signed by another school.
• Minor adjustments to tackle physics to improve tackle follow through animations.
• Many new plays have been added to the play catalogue.

Ok I have a question. If I’m naming my players in my second dynasty and save it. It saves that file to all dynasties. Why does it do this?

Its nice to see the receiver issue I stated before is being worked on. I don't know if you could have RB truck defenders and CB able to intercept the ball instead of ball bouncing off hands every time and able to deflect with one hand. I wish couple more features for dynasty could be added like coach hiring. And being able to change quarter limits during season.

I would still love to see more logo save slots. And maybe a page in the stats for JUST my players of my team

Page for just teams individual stats would be nice.

Whats crazy is I seen CPU look like RB is trucking but I can't figure how on my team I can do that. But CPU definitely is. And for some reason it don't record my RB stats right. I think when QB gets sacked it takes yards away from RB. Either way its not recording right.

And we need career stats and player cards when ever some of these features are added the foundation is set. And then tune up gameplay... add more animations and then I'm good I'm never buying a EA game again. I really don't now anyways.

This is the patch I'm waiting on. The clock issue was a huge drain for me. I'm hoping you address the depth charts and allow us to change the quarter length in Dynasty after it has started as well. But all in all I'm excited for this update and look forward to actually getting my Dynasty rolling. Thank you guys for listening!

Ok great. I like the changes and the response to the community recommendations. Keep up the good work. I know a lot of people expected a EA sports caliber game when it first came out, impossible, but the game is getting better with every update. Will it reach the caliber of NCAA 14 this year, no, but I think it will get closer them most think. I hope you keep up the work and keep growing as a company and in a few years I am sure you will rival NCAA 14 in game quality and beat them in Dynasty. Good luck and cannot wait to keep playing and see where you go.

Are any audio improvements coming to make the crowd louder and bands continue playing after a play is selected?

Only thing that annoys me is the lack of a smooth handoff...fix that and I am good. Would be cool to add stat updates on players throughout the game as well.
