7. Yegor Korshkov, LW, Yaroslavl-KHL

It’s easy to look at Korshkov’s numbers the last two seasons and not come away ecstatic by his development but he was one of the top scorers on his KHL team last season. He has nice skills for a 6-foot-4 forward. They’re not high-end mind you, but he can make plays, sees the ice well, and is dangerous down low with the puck. He’s strong on the puck and can prolong possessions. He’s not a burner but he skates fine. I think his best days are still ahead of him even though he may not be an impact guy.

Woll was a solid goalie this past season. He’s a big man who is very nimble for a big goaltender. He can get across his crease with ease, and make dynamic saves with regularity. He doesn’t shy away from playing high in his crease. His aggressiveness can backfire at times. He’s so quick and at times jumpy in the net that he can get out of position. He’ll need to improve his decisions and lower the amount of soft goals he allows, but he has significant upside.

Lucchini was a quality college player and impressed after signing with the Penguins, making a quick adjustment to the pro level and scoring seven points in 15 AHL games. Lucchini isn’t the biggest or quickest, but he’s got skill and hockey sense. He’s always looking to make a play and can make the tough passes within the offensive zone. I don’t know if his skill is elite, but I’ve seen flashes of very creative moments from him. He’ll need to add a step but he’s got enough ability to be interesting.

His puck game is the main question in his NHL projection because he has the other components, but he may not be able to score enough in the pros.
