    Would these sliders interest you?

    49704BF0-8ABD-4EF3-BF05-FAD0CAD47788.jpg
On Christmas I found these sliders on line. They are totally not the traditional values we normally see but if you watch the video you will see what I mean.

Now .... I have added my own twist to these to add things like fouls and a little more challenge to the shooting.
These bring up a lot of questions to how sliders really effect gameplay and why 2k should really break down what each one really does.

Below I listed the sliders from the video. My changes are in parenthesis.

Re: Would these sliders interest you?

Ok.... so what did I get out of theses sliders? Well, one would think with speed at 80 and vertical and acceleration at 100 players would be flying around and jumping through the ceiling..... Wrong!! The movement and height of the jumps are really good . Having all the fouls off except for shooting makes the game move much more natural. Having the Values at 100 seem to make the game more fluid and it adds something to the game where you really have to try to steal the ball and u have to really back away from good defenders or else they’ll steal the ball away from you. This goes for passing as well. Things you took for granted on other sliders are thrown out the window. This is more like real basketball as far as how the aggressiveness is on both sides of the ball.
For instance , before I could dribble up the floor and call plays and stand in front of a defender mindlessly of what he was doing. Now you can’t be square with good defenders or they will create trouble by trying to steal the ball.
I was surprised how theses played out. But that surprise has added more confusion to what some of the sliders really do. Even with contact shot success at 0, I still get and one’s. Even with dunk in traffic success at 0, I still get dunks to go in.

Not sure why the guy who posted the video thinks real nba basketball is making every shot. I watched the 5 minutes of gameplay at the end of the video. Every shot taken went in. Including about 8 three pointers.

I thought the same thing.... but I was intrigued by the gameplay. I tweaked it to add fouls and a more realistic shooting %

What’s wrong with the other two sets you have posted? I’m not sure I would want any part of the guys you are tweaking here. You can tell in the video he knows very little about b-ball. They is a play where a guy hits a 3 with 2 guys on him. After it goes in the guy says. See that’s real nba basketball right there.

This is just another approach at sliders and what other possible gameplay can look/ feel like. It can give other slider guys some info on tweaking their own sliders . Try my tweaks and see if you like the feel of the gameplay.

Can you post some stats from games you've played on 12 min quarters? I'm intrigued by your set, but realistic fg/3 pt % is very important to me

I play 6 minute quarters. Stat wise I updated the first page to give a more balance shooting % I’m getting 65-70% shooting and about 50-60% from 3 point land. BUT.... I love how aggressive the CPU is with shooting . For the first time the CPU challenged me from start to to finish. Heck I even lost by 5 points. The star players stand out. Lillard from Portland played just like in real life. He attacked the basket used step back jumpers....etc. even with my other sliders I feel like I’m going for more of a visual approach to playing. This way I’ve gone to actually playing to win on both sides of the ball. Most sliders if not all, I can dominate at any time to just win the game. With LeBron , I can drive all day and run up the score . Not so much with these because of the high slider settings. Very challenging and rewarding at the same time .

As I find new sliders I’ll always post them to give fellow Os members other options. I still like my other sets ( especially the movement ) but they don’t challenge me like these.

And yes , I could play on default HOF for a challenge but it’s not rewarding on the user side to always miss shots and too not have any wow moments. This way I get really good physics and I never feel cheated. I pick my spots like in real basketball and I defend like crazy trying to steal and block like in real life . I real feel like I have to go all out to win.

Thoae stats are way too high though. 70% from beyond the arc and high FG%

And the CPU only getting four free throws seems troubling

Yeah they are high, but I’m not big on stats . I’m all about gameplay and the feeling of how the game plays . Sometimes I feel like I’m going through the motions to just run this play or now that play . Maybe I’ll run this play to see the animations or maybe I’ll decide to just kick it in high gear and blow away the CPU. With these I don’t feel that way.

I honestly think fixing the shot percentage is the easiest thing for me by moving the success siders down to your desired levels that makes a person happy. Getting the game to play and move right is the hardest for me so I'll have to give these a shot someone even though I feel fairly happy with the set I'm using.
