I have a solution that probably only I would like.

I would prefer the NC game to be played on a Saturday night making it easier to stay up late to watch.

Can't play on a Saturday now because it conflicts with the NFL playoffs.

SOO. Make it an 8 team playoff. Second round would have been last week and you have your week layoff.

NC game is played on Saturday night, the night before the AFC, NFC Championship games. What a football weekend that would be!
