Even just your depth chart would work. I usually try and build my team to have:
HB 1 (primary RB, either power or elusive)
HB 2 (the opposite of the HB 1 above)
HB 3 Receiving HB
The receiver RB slots into the depth chart as the 3rd down back (which has nothing to do with 3rd down, just the formations he's defaulted too, mostly shotgun).
The power back goes into the short yardage spot.
If I have an elusive HB1, I'm done at that point as all three guys have a role. If I have a power HB1, I'll put the elusive HB2 into some formation subs at that point.
