Solid foundation to your recruiting class.

Love the Top-25 presentation. Lot's a great depth. Sad to see Boise State is obviously still struggling, well BYU and Hawaii make the Top-25.

I think your dynasty is the first time I have seen Auburn actually playing well in a dynasty. They had been horrible in mine before taking them over.

JJ Harris have any hope of transitioning over to the defensive side of the ball? Can can you get him touches on O?

Great game recap. Finally looked like you faced some adversity from an opponent, but that Halloway KR TD looks like it crushed the Badgers spirits and put things a bit out of reach at the half. Your offense is a real juggernaut right, it seems like next man up in the running game keeps getting the job done. Brutal that the injury bug seems to be striking you with a vengeance though. It's one thing to lose another star runner, but your starting center too? Did you spin for that injury I take it? I don't think I've ever seen an offensive lineman get hurt, haha.

Some great signings as well after these wins. I'm sure you're excited about seeing that DE in action, I know you've talked about having struggles as far as rushing the passer goes, so hopefully he can be the answer there! Josh Mack looks like he will fit right into the Eddie Allen role with some seasoning as well, so should be a solid player.

            2021 - Week 9 Preview - #2 Iowa at Northwestern

Clark and company needed overtime to beat Northwestern 40-33 in his first season at Iowa. In 2019, the Hawkeyes benefitted from key missed field goals in multiple games to have the season they had. Against Northwestern that year, the Hawkeyes were ranked #1 but once again the game went to overtime. Iowa were stopped on 4th and short in overtime, Northwestern had a clear chance to win, and botched it with a missed field goal TWICE in overtime in one of the craziest games in this dynasty. Altogether, there were three missed field goals by the kicker, allowing Iowa to escape with their #1 ranking and a win. Last year, again, Northwestern took the Hawkeyes right down to the wire. Northwestern scored a late touchdown but failed on the two-point conversion that would have brought them to within a field goal. Kenard Goodman, who will miss the next few games, had a then career day with 119 yards and 2 TD, adn Allen ran for another 115 and 2 TD, along with 178 yards in the air, though he threw a pair of interceptions.

The Wildcats put together a pretty nice team for the 2021 season but they have some big time weaknesses as well. The right side of their defensive line looks like a sieve on paper, and their #72 rush defense is going to be tested against the Hawkeyes.

Cary Mayhew is strictly a pocket passer; That doesn't mean Northwestern won't try to run or that he won't scramble, but if he does, there will probably be catastrophe. Leading receiver, TE Richard Harris is a 6'8" 260 lb. force with the ability to get open, catch it in traffic, and truck the life out of defenders. Lee Lawson is a solid all-around back who had 118 yards last year against the Hawkeyes.

Traditionally, the Wildcats seem to stun the Hawkeyes with their ability to play excellent pass defense, then the Hawkeyes turn to the run. So look for the Hawkeyes to lean to the ground game to start and gradually test the air attack when it makes sense.

I agree, I think he's going to be really good. Let's see what type of work ethic and citizenship rating he rolls :-)

I like to see Auburn doing well. Alabama has been even worse since the retirement of the great crotchety grouch. Thanks on the Top 25 thing. I've been awful about doing that stuff this year, it was a long time coming and I'm just enjoying playing the game right now... But I had to catch up.

I agree, it's a good start to the class and the biggest question is if we can get the top offensive linemen we're targeting. It's a bigtime challenge every year with those guys.

He doesn't have any shot to be a defensive player, his athlete status is between FB And TE I think - and maybe RB. He is somewhat of a holy grail for me as I've been trying to find strong, well-rounded players that can block for a long time. Of course I can't see here yet if he can block, but the game thinks he's a TE. So I'm thinking year. Can't wait for position changes on him to see where he fits. He'll have to redshirt for sure though.

I did spin for that center injury bro.. Yeah. The Goodman one which is going to be three weeks was a real injury but every time those momentary ones happen I do a quick RNG sequence on that (50/50 between either come right back as normal and game... or longer which is another roll after that... and it worked out he got three weeks.

I'm excited about Mack, but I hope he improves before I have to start him.... We have another QB or two we're considering. Right now, Nathan Malone has a better arm than him, and if he can improve at all THIS offseason (he regressed last year) then he could be the starter and we can redshirt our young guys. Thanks for checking in man! Still shaking my head about your last game.

You've got a heck of a squad with a bunch of fun guys to play with. That looks like it was a fun game, close enough where you couldn't really afford any late mistakes.
                Quality win.
Looks like you're about to get into the meat of the schedule.

                    2021 - Week 10 Preview - #1 Iowa at Illinois

Kinnick Stadium is now considered the second toughest place to play in the NCAA, following The Horseshoe. The Hawks have won 18 in a row at home. In Coach Clark's first Big Ten matchup against Illinois, Masin Barnes threw three interceptions in a 7-10 loss. At home - 19 home games ago.

You know where we're going with this. That was the last time the Hawkeyes lost at home. Iowa scored 7 in that loss, 24 in the 2019 road win, and 20 in a taut, 20-14 victory at home last year. In other words, the Hawkeyes, a team scoring 46 points per game this season, have put up a total of 51 against Illinois in three contests.

Once again, Illinois is playing good team defense, allowing fewer points per game than the Hawkeyes, at 18.71 points per game compared to 19.57 points per game allowed by Iowa.

The Illinois roster is littered with players Coach Clark tried to recruit, and vice versa, due to the highly contested nature of Illinois and the proximity of the states. Another win against Illinois would be a great feather in the cap of Iowa. QB Howard has a strong, accurate arm and two good running backs to hand the ball off to. The receiving corps are better than the sum of their parts. As with most games the defending National Champs play, they have more to lose than gain.

And on the 8th day, God created Eddie Allen! There is nothing this guy can't do... no matter what your team needs he is always the answer and the savior. Big win, keep stacking things up and don't let that Jordan Howard trap game get you (he looks like a monster). Should be a good win coming to keep the momentum going, as there don't look to be any easy contests the rest of the way.

Hopefully no trap game scenario here. Who'd have though Iowa at Purdue would be a game of the week candidate?
