    RBI 20 Impressions Thread

In my opinion this game is a must play if you are on Xbox or Switch. I played 2 games last night.
    Pros-
    - I really dig the new pitching. Feels smooth/organic
    - the colors really pop
    - the defense settings were very easy for me to learn and use
    - batting (for me anyway) is a challenge and I like that.
    - Lots of uniform options
    Cons
    - no commentary really - (playing with Spotify)
    - some game faces are super generic
    - the defensive animations need some major work

For $30 and in this time of No sports this is a solid option to scratch the baseball itch.

The leap from RBI 19 is HUGE

      2 questions:

Is there an option to sim pitching while in game so you can just bat or vice versa?

      2. Is there an option to reduce the number of games in franchise so you don't have to play 162?

          You can play 52 - 81 - or a full 162 games in franchise.

Does not look like you can sim pitching from what I see.

You can do trades and have injuries.

            Thank you sir!

So you can sim in game in The Show but can't reduce the number of games and in this you can reduce number of games but can't sim in game... decisions decisions!

For some reason I cant figure out how to do a CPU vs CPU game. Am I missing something?

What a wonderful game compared to years previous
In some ways this is like a poor mans mlb the show
In the batter view I’m even confused to think it’s rbi baseball at all

I have two complaints and sadly they are very big ones
The hitting timing and the way you hit will either gel with ppl or it won’t
I’m on the side of it not gelling with me so far but sometimes I do get a hit and it’s rewarding

The pitching timing the way the meter fills is way to slow

I think this game is better if you Play this game at the hardest setting

But honestly it’s such an improvement a 180 almost

How is the starting pitcher fatigue? I didn't play last year's, but in past games, the starters would tire out way too quickly and often not go more than 5 innings.

I'm definitely picking it up for mobile. I was thinking about getting it for Steam, but with the surprise announcement of Super Mega Baseball 3, that is going to be my PC baseball game this year.

Fatigue feels ok. Not enough games to truly judge yet.

I played some more playing on pc and srsly in batter view it looks like mlb the show its crazy in pitcher view it looks a tad better than mlb 2k12 on pc but again the interface is very simple

my thing is they have a HUGE potential for next year if they jump the way they did this year.

MLB the show has been VERY samey and the fact that the phillies stadium color is wrong for the 4rth year in a row is a complete wash for me ever playing a show game again

If i had to score this game its very lacking in the commentary areas if it had some broadcast commentary and a few more camera angles and used different loading splashes itd be GREAT

compared to last years game completely better based off that where rbi baseball was SO samey they really did enough to get me back to their series of games.

                          7/10 but a very strong 7

Much improved over previous years. Very good. I like the modern interface controls but having problems with batting.

I might be doing it wrong, but to me, it feels backwards to let off the A button to swing rather than to press the A button. (I am playing on PC).

It's hard to limit the swings to less power/more contact since I am pressing the A button just as the pitcher is beginning his windup. It usually ends up around 50-70% power. I haven't even begun trying to influence my swing yet....

A lot of homeruns on both sides and when the other team hits one into the gap, I've been able to throw to the cut-off and then behind the runner to get him out. The AI seems to take a wide turn around 2nd base and was able to take advantage of it twice in one game.

It seems like I'm focusing on the negatives, but there the game is so much improved and fun to play. I'd like to see more use of the analog controls in future editions. Maybe split up the power/contact swing option to seperate buttons and pressing to swing instead of releasing to swing... Just my thoughts, but a good buy! Well worth the price!
