Unfortunately you can't fix... Most of these roster edits are from a base that has been hex edited to better fit conference sizes. This also causes some glitches in gameplay, for example VCU being called "The Home/Away Team" instead of VCU. I've bantered back and forth about just starting from the original roster file for this reason but it is SO time consuming to edit these rosters that I just suck it up.
On another note, wish I waited and used this one as my base. I'm almost completely finished with a rerated, updated roster I've been working on for about a month. Will have to check yours out mjpj and see how far off we are. Props for doing the work.Comment

So I’m doing exactly what I mentioned above. Did a total roster reset and starting from scratch on 19/20 rosters. Gonna take forever but hex editing ruined these roster files. Even my own saves don’t fully carry over, names and appearances get mixed up. Good thing I’ll be stuck at home for the next month plus.Comment

Does that issue occur on the other rosters that were posted?
edit: I quickly went thru, and found the 2015 file (before I even figured out how to hex edit) and that vcu issue is in that roster.. matter fact, that's been an issue since the dawn of the game, it was caused by people editing coaches through "edit school" rather than the coach profiles, iirc. Also, the name issue, I'm positive was caused by one of the rosters makers trying to hex edit the file themsleves. Because all I did was just alter a few things around that didn't increase the "byte(s)" or w/e or general structure of the, which is something I noticed a few years ago when someone first mentioned it.
I'm unaware of how to fix, but I'll try to see if it's possible to fix the naming issue.
Edit 2: Thinking back to it, the naming issue could be similar the issue Xbox users had with overwriting so many names throughout the years. But I do agree it's probably time to use "reset rosters" and start from scratch. That should also fix the home/away team glitch.Last edited by Brock; 04-04-2020, 03:09 PM.Comment

Added the fixed conference. Mjp, does it give you an error message when you try to edit certain names? I checked the file size in the hex editor and it's nearly identical, so i'm not sure what's causing the issue with names.Last edited by Brock; 04-07-2020, 05:15 PM.Comment

can any one give me guidance on how to get the roster transferred to a flash drive and then loaded on to the ps3. i get the zip file loades on the my flash drive, but once i try to open it up on the system, it shows nothing. do i need to open something seperately or the entire zip file. its got me so confused and has my ptsd kicked up a notch!
