100 % It's been too easy to square up pitches, and the ball really seems to carry. The post from one of the developers in the patch 1.05 thread pretty much confirms for me that this may have been the approach to match the 2019 MLB season.

I'll be adjusting sliders at some point. (currently on default)

Edit:The comment from the developer is actually in the "too many home runs" thread.
