Just on PC quick impressions:

Cranked up graphic options, theres not many mainly AA etc, to 16x. Crowd Density to extreme.

Looks nice, the lighting works well, played my only game in the day at Motor Field and the shadows felt comfortable to play in. Crowd looks good, all moving, jumping around etc. Not sure if they react to the ball, but thats a minor thing.

Replays would be a lovely touch here, but it is what it is.

Gameplay very smooth, no lag at all. The pickoff mechanic is simple to use, had one passed ball and a dropped 3rd strike which played out well. Also a nice comebacker at the AI pitcher who caught it and tried a quick flip to 1st for a DP.

Lost 2-3 as the Jacks, cracked a 2 run shot early. Its one game, nothing felt off and im sure theres plenty there to discover.

first impression PC version:
played a quick 3 inning game. raised the ego to medium.

game is very smooth.
pitching feels different but in a good way. in 3 innings I had 4 walks, and struck out 5. gave up 3 hits
I had my strike outs early. I also think that the umpire either opened up or shrunk the strike window as the game progressed.
-the feature that tells you the opposing batters strengths etc is nice.

fielding feels good and responsive. I will have to raise the ego for fielding because I dont like the auto fielding when you get close to the ball on pop ups.

there are alot of foul balls by both teams. Im sure this will generate great pitcher/batter duels in key situations

batting also feels very responsive. I had 5 hits in 3 innings, 1 double, 4 singles

for a 3 inning game, the pitchers fatigue/stamina level decreased at an appropriate rate. I had to bring in my closer to finish off a 1-0 win, due to starter pitcher fatigue. My starter threw 52 pitches in 2 1/3 innings.

I injured the opposing pitcher in the second inning, a line drive right to the face.

graphics are nice and lighting is nice as well.

Seems to perform a lot better than 2 tech wise (no stuttering), although a bit sad it seems to have lost a lot of personality in its presentation, going the "serious sport presentation" in the menus and such instead of the fun cartoony-ness of 2. It's all a bit bland. But the action on the field is much tighter and better.

The lighting and the graphics are a pretty significant jump from 2 and its very nice to look at. I looove the sound of the bat when it makes contact of the ball and my first ever pitch in the first ever inning i played i had a passed ball lol. Also when the pa announcer said now at the plate hammer longballo i had to pause the game like i was stunned they said the player names

So is the PC version locked to 60FPS no matter what? I turned off VSync and still get 60 FPS. Was hoping to take advantage of my 120Hz monitor.

How is the performance of the game on Switch? I’m finding on the demo that there’s significant frame rate dips when batting and the ball is coming towards you. Makes timing swings so so hard. Is it the same in the full game?

When in franchise mode, can you look at the player stats on other teams?

You couldnt do this in the past 🙄

I played the full version for about 40 minutes and didn't really notice any issues. I did not play the previous one on the switch so I can't compare that, but so far I don't have any complaints.

For those upset with lack of career stats for franchise.. this dev team is fantastic.

As always, we will continue to listen to community feedback as we consider future updates and will support the game for some time after launch as we did with SMB2. In fact, a few things we’re already working on include the new Custom Pennant Race mode, which has already been revealed here, career stats in Franchise mode, and additional layers and shapes for the Logo Editor. We’ll share more details on our post-launch plans soon, but for now our focus is on a smooth launch!
