Dan vs CPU - NHL 20 [True Broadcast] [PRO] [8 min] [Franchise]

    • loose
    • fast paced
    • gritty
    • varied scoring
    • realistic shot stats
    • balanced penalties
    • fun and immersive
    • no ”CPU cheating”

Playing on PRO mitigates much of the horrible AI-programming, but for veteran NHL-gamers it may prove less of a challenge. These sliders work for me because I have more of a nerdy roleplaying kind of approach to my Franchise, and if you - like me - think Allstar is to hard/boring and find the regular PRO-preset to easy - Dan vs CPU might be for you.

Isn't Goalie Cover Frequency a bit high at 85 ?

Hell no! Tell me how often the goalie plays the puck in real life? Barely ever. You want more faceoffs in the game for more realistic stats, too.

        Hello, community!

The never ending quest to make EA NHL games enjoyable via sliders continue!

        UPDATE:

        RULES
        Spoiler

Balanced penalties is really hard to get right. They go totally haywire from game to game or even period to period. But I atleast feel they are easier to control at 3/4 than 4/4.

        GAMEPLAY SLIDERS

        GENERAL
        Spoiler

EA fail big time with player differential, but attributes at 10/10 makes the game too spastic.

        SKATING
        Spoiler

Tweaks for making skating faster and more crisp. Fun factor.

        PASSING
        Spoiler

        CHECKING
        Spoiler

These changes make hitting a little less over the top, but still viable as a defensive tool. I’m not sure how the game counts hit, but HUM stats are fine (depending on playstyle ofc). Sadly, CPU hitting is low no matter how you tweak on PRO.

        PENALTIES
        Spoiler

Many of the penalty sliders are very inconsistent or plain broken. They work better with global penalties set at 3/4 - but, oh my, are they frustrating.

        AI
        Spoiler

These changes are not to make the CPU easier to play against, they are for making the CPU more humanlike. I really don’t trust any of these sliders to be honest.
