alkostopolous & Shanster695 Present: The True Depth Project Rosters for PS4

Some of you have been following along as we have been updating these consistently for a few months, but as of May 17th we are actually finished.

    --------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

These are the most accurate NHL 20 Rosters, possibly ever. alkostopolous and myself manually created over 800 players to fill out every NHL team's entire depth chart, including players in the KHL, VHL, MHL, NCAA, USHL, US-HS, and the U20 European leagues.

On top of creating a metric buttload of players, we also:
    • Modified attributes for accurate simulating in Franchise Mode
    • Removed players on LTIR that will likely never come back
    • Created prospects projected to go in the first 2 rounds all the way up to the 2023 draft, which is literally the limit we could get to.
    • Sent B. Leipsic and J. Rodewald to Belarus to think about what they've done

    --------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

In doing this, we discovered two fun little bugs with roster management in this game.

    1) If a player is on an AHL only contract, or contracted to a European team but has "Pro Team" set as "Free Agency" they will show up as UFAs at the start of Franchise.

    2) If a team has 50 contracts, and you add a 51st, it will "pop off" the most recent signing to Free Agency.

Therefore, some of the contract info is not 100% accurate (this legitimately took up most of our time in the past week.)

    --------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

    We are looking for testers!

Want access to the rosters without Save Wizard? All it takes is you to work for it

If you are interested in being a tester for these rosters, DM either me or alkostopolous for details!

    --------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Without further adieu, I present...THE FILE

Thank you all so much for your support, and please enjoy!

Also, sorry for slowing down your Create Player menu.

    Fantastic.
I have downloaded the roster, but i am not sure i got it right or i have got the latest file. I still have Blackwood at 84, starter, medium and i can't see e.g. Leipsic in the Belarus roster.

He's actually on Yunost Minsk in the Champions League.

You can confirm it worked by checking to see if Teravainen on Carolina is Medium Elite.

Possible we simply forgot to fix Blackwood!

Shanster has published the steps to be taken in a different thread. I have followed step-by-step and it worked:

                1) Plug a USB stick into your PS4, go to Settings -> Application Saved Data Management -> Saved Data in System Storage -> Copy to USB -> NHL. You have to save BOTH your profile and the roster to overwrite

                2) Bring that over to your computer, plug it in and open Save Wizard

                3) You'll see a folder on your stick called "PS4" with a folder inside named a bunch of nonsense. Inside THAT folder is a folder called CUSA-something or other. That's the hash name of NHL 20.

                4) What I do is duplicate the entire PS4 folder and call it "duplicate" or something and replace the profile and roster files in there (i.e. yours) with the ones you download.

                5) Zip your new folder, calling it PS4

                6) Open Save Wizard, go to re-sign, and make sure you have your USB slot selected (bottom left) it should display CUSA-whatever on that screen

                7) Double click on the CUSA-whatever, select both the Profile and Roster that show there, click the import button

                8) Select your new zip (it has to be a zip for it to work) and then hit Import, wait

                9) Should get a happy message if all is well!

The nice thing is after you do that once, you ONLY need the roster file from there on out.

Brief verification on #7, you do Profile THEN do Roster (you have to do both individually)

Dcolby sorry for the late response,
we are using Altito’s sliders with a few adjustments. We lowered game speed to 0 and boosted the skaters speed and back skating to make it so faster players have a better chance to breakaway.
Also we boosted the pass reception ease to 30. It seemed to play better off players pick control stats.
Anyway use it as a guide and make adjustments for things to how you play. Enjoy

As far as I can see, Save Wizard doesn't allow converting between regions on games that have online multiplayer, which NHL does.
