Graphics always improve, Madden always looks good in stills, need raw gameplay which we won’t see for a while

Looks like pads still aren’t separate from the body. Same ole sidelines too. I hope this isn’t final. And it gets better.

Much more optimistic it considering the Madden 06 experience since they're also posting these as images of the game.

Looks fantastic, and the features (new models, stat-driven performance) are pretty amazing. Just a matter of how things are executed / depth.

Certainly something that's been worked on for more than 8-9 months.

These images are probably what clinch me moving forward with getting a Series X in the fall day 1 supplies permitting.

Not trying to be that guy but if you zoom in on Adams helmet you can see the reflection and see that the field and sidelines has no players or media on them

Likely a product of the method of raytracing used for that scene. A lot to love about the sideline in the side profile running shot.

I noticed that as well on King and Taylor in the Packers screenshot. Which is a shame, because I thought they actually made some progress in that regard in M20 (at least compared to M19).

On the topic of equipment, that Brady screenshot still shows off the "painted-on" undershirt look we've complained about for years.

Only one that will actually probably show up in the game will maybe be the packer tunnel shot. Well probably never see that Brady one. Very RGIIIesque with the reflections in the visor shot.

I know its hard to trust madden I mean look at the next gen lie we got back with madden on ps3/xbox 360 but based of how nba 2k looked when we got its teaser and even with how Horizon FW looks we are really going to start getting photo realistic looking games this next gen but there are a lot more things that madden needs to do besides the way it looks for it to be good again.

That wouldn't be ray tracing. It's just a reflection map. It's the same reason why reflections in GTA are static and don't reflect other cars or pedestrians. The reflections aren't real time, they're just pre-made reflection maps.

Probably six to one half dozen to another in this case, I posted that having just watched the digital foundry analysis of the PlayStation 5 event where they were talking about ray tracing and how it's implemented and how some things are just completely missing from the ray traced reflections.

I like your characterization better in this example though.
