Shelter-in-place has afforded me more time to focus on what really matters. NCAA 14.

I was inspired by /u/mattrd39 500+ real recruiting classes to create my own. I used CSV lists of 247 recruits provided in Drive here
and the EA DB editor

I created a recruiting class editor to import over 2600+ real recruits. If you want to use it - I would love feedback

I chose to use what we know now to influence skills - so Pat Mahomes will scout well above his 3 star rating, same with Tyreek Hill and a few others.
Others will scout below their star ratings. However the star ratings are accurate to the class.

Here are some weaknesses - I would love solutions to

• Don't Have a Good Prediction Algorithm for Overalls
• Athletes' true position and ratings were randomly assigned if I couldn't recall their position
• Skin colors are only accurate for Baylor and players I could recall (Top 300 ish)
• Faces are accurate to skin color - but only 10 faces per skin color
• Hometowns are randomly assigned from correct state
• Some recruiting "glitches" - for ex. LSU is listed twice in top ten schools
• Some recruits who signed with your school in real life will have you locked out
• Kickers/ Punters skills are pretty randomly assigned
• JuCo players were randomly assigned to be a sophomore or junior
• Handedness is random

Hey i'm trying to edit the recruiting classes as well with the db editor myself. How can I do that in excel?

To export:
Click on "I/O", then "Export."
Select "Single" if you are exporting one player or "All Visible" to export all.

Make your edits in Excel and save as a .csv

To import a single player:
Click on the player and highlight the entire line.

Click on "I/O", then "Import."
Select "Overwrite Existing" and choose your file.

To import all players:
Click on "I/O", then "Import."
Select "Overwrite Existing" and choose your file.

With large files, it may take a few minutes to replace everything.

I'm very interested in this process as I entered 48 of the 2013 Recruiting Class manually into my PS3 dynasty. The system only took 24 of them, (QB/HB/WR though not all of those entered), and none of the TE/OL/Defense made the cut.

Are y'all replacing CPU generated recruits or just adding to the recruit class total?

As for skills, I've copied skills off of the FR class recruits from the real life players and also from CPU-gen players to get a baseline for each position. It's still a work in progress though.

Hey guys - I've obviously been away from the forms but here is a link to my recruiting class maker. It's a large file ~32 megabytes because it randomly generates attributes for every player in the class. I've given commenting privileges to anybody with the link so you can leave feedback directly in the sheet.

Hey everyone, I'll be publishing links to a google drive with 2600+ recruits for every class from 2013 to 2020 tonight. These are easily imported into NCAA14 using the methods outlined in the thread.
Names, locations, top school, positions, stars, rankings will be accurate for all of the recruits.

My big delay on the project has been not wanting to go through the work of matching skin tone for every recruit and also not wanting to assign positions for all athletes in the class. I would be happy to set up a way to incorporate crowdsourced data for those two things though.

Please let me know if you are interested in helping with those attributes.
