Glad he is a 99 but still don't understand why he doesn't have 99 throw power i mean his arm is stronger then Josh Allen + Mahomes can chuck a ball 80+ yards with just a flick of the wrist & while 97 throw power is still awesome

He should no doubt have 99 thp &, Allen 98 thp + Mahomes 81 speed is disrespectful he is faster then an 81 i would say he is more 85 to 86 speed but no more then that..

So I'm glad he's a 99 ovr as he should be for a very long time.. just wish they would make his other attributes realistic to his real life abilities...

Do you really think his arm is that strong? On the level of guys like Favre, Elway, etc? Nah. He has a strong arm, and I think his rating is solid.

Come on man, 81 speed is good for a QB. Back at the combine, he ran a 4.80

Andrew Luck had 83 speed and ran a 4.67 so seems fair to me.

Yes he has the strongest arm in the NFL by far a ton of NFL of legit experts have said his arm is stronger then Farve,Elway,Marino,Rodgers among others.. this is coming from actual player's exc, coaches scouts & more

He has thrown the ball before & air distance was well over 70 yards!

He threw a pass in warm-ups before a game vs Denver From back of 1 endzone to the other so his arm is legit..

As for the people saying he ran a 4.80 speed while true its game speed that matters & last year on multiple occasions he showed off his ability to scramble & he was way faster then an 81.

So edit it yourself then, some people care about accurate ratings. I believe 81 is fair for Mahomes.

Even more silly is debating subjectively scored ratings that change frequently and are able to be edited by yourself.

I get why Madden rates the players the way they do. It's for marketing purposes and acts as a snapshot of the league for that particular year, but man, I'd absolutely love it if the ratings were looked at from an all-time perspective.

I'd like to see a 99 speed mean the fastest player in NFL history. 99 throw power means the strongest arm in NFL history and it should never be surpassed.

I know its not as marketable to have a game where your best player is rated 92 and the vast majority of players are 60s and 70s. It would be fun, to me, to go through a franchise, though, and know when I see a 95 rated player that I'm dealing with one of the best players in NFL history and need to watch for him. Instead, we have the ratings that are still too inflated for my taste and the game is oversaturated with good players to the point where they don't feel as special as I'd personally like to see.
