Money grabbing, over-advertising trash, lazy company

Condescension; at its finest, how on earth do EA get away with LITERALLY copying and pasting games year after year, they did it with FIFA, just a new colour scheme woo! But with this UFC game you've ****ed it up, basically every animation is the same, it's so 'arcadey' You've literally just updated fighter stats and re-mapped the button layouts? How does it take so long to produce a game that is just the same has it's been for years. EA are going to disappear one day where there is a huge spike of people who finally realise just how bad EA is..

Missing much of what the community asked for and have a garbage mobile phone style ground game. Player models awful, striking weighted wrong, knockouts still scripted...

Yet we still have people saying they think a lot of glaring issues will be fixed in the timespan of less than a month that we have before release.

Well the game will for sure be updated after release, for at least a good 6 months, right? That’s something to be hopeful for.

Yes it’s super disappointing that we aren’t getting what we expected at launch but we just have to make the best of it and hope our feedback can improve the game. We can’t change the kind of company that EA is, but hopefully even with GPD gone there’s still a dedicated core of devs who wanna make the game better.

We've already had Aholbert and other game changers come out and admit that they suspect this game will not get anywhere near the same level of post launch support as GPD is no longer a member of the team and he was the sole driving point for most of UFC 3's post launch patches. So yeah, don't hold your breathe on that one I'm afraid.

Who is the new lead developer? Do they have social media?

Jamie Mathieson is the lead animator. I'm sure him writing 3 books had nothing to do with having key positions missing. If even half of that passion was directed at his work we would not have missing clinch positions and only ONE new ground position.

                LOL

Is he also the lead gameplay developer? Is he the new GPD, basically?

What an absolutely horrible thing to say about someone you know nothing about.

At this point there are certain people on this forum that need to stop lashing out at the devs like this.

Re: Money grabbing, over-advertising trash, lazy company

A reminder as usual that this sort of thread is never going to last if it's just angry lashing out. The thread title is less than ideal too for creating any sort of discourse. By all means discuss the displeasure with the game, but personally attacking devs -- or making assumptions about them or others you don't know etc. -- is against TOS and the spirit of the site itself. Nothing good will come out of it and nothing ever does so try to keep perspective and try to be level headed about how you talk about a video game.

To put it another way, talking about the flaws of a game can actually lead to a discussion. Trashing the human who you know nothing about, and what he or she worked on with a game is useless because there's no insight to be gained from it and no real discussion can be had because we don't know diddly about it. So why not instead focus on discussing instead the thing you can touch and analyze instead?

                        Thanks for understanding y'all.
