I’m holding out until a better balance between what we have now and realism is implemented in the core game mechanics (including online play).

This is a mega-bummer for me, as I know that it could mean I skip EA UFC entirely, and I’ve bought every UFC game that’s been released since Dreamcast.

But it does no good to complain, be ignored, and buy the game anyway. This will only have an impact if others do the same, and hopefully they will.

Really surprised at the number of people not pre-ordering. Especially since the major things people complained about, stamina, subs can be tuned easily for a day 1 patch according to Geoff on his twitter.

Edit - clarification: according to Geoff's reply to KeneticNRG on twitter.

that’s my major issue with the game. The fact they had 2.5 years to develop a game, and they are still banking on a day 1 patch to fix the things people have complained about for years. To me, that feels like a slap in the face and in response I won’t be getting the game until it’s discounted a month or two after release. I feel like buying UFC 4 should Be a completed game, not a game where I’m hoping they patch the issues the community has been vocal about

Don't be surprised. I can't see the poll but OSF makes up for a very minute percentage of the community.

This isn't indicative of projected pre order numbers in any way. When they start ramping up the marketing , even if it's just a little bit. People will pre - order .

Time and time again we have seen this with new EA sports titles . FIFA especially . At the end of the day because of UT it sells .

The selling point of EA sports UFC is the ability to play with each other in the community amongst friends or even strangers.

They are taking a huge risk with ranked and the outcome will show itself in the coming weeks.

I'd say their major selling point is licenses. It's basically their entire business model; Spend loads of money to buy all the licenses > Release a mediocre game every year, that people will buy because there is basically no alternative.

                    I agree .

                    Maybe it's a spend less , sell more strategy I don't really know .

But man there are no other options out there. I will definitely buy this game .

I'm telling you , once Martial mind starts talking and doing videos about UFC 4 and the marketing kicks in . Bro a lot of people are going to be convinced to buy .

I don't think UFC 4 is the " it's either extremely good or extremely bad no middle ground " installment for EA sports .

But if they aren't careful they could have wwe 2k20 situation .

                    I pray this isn't the case .

But for I'm going to buy it.

The last thing you want to be doing is buying this game if you feel it is bad, and you are only getting it because there is no alternative.

If you don't think you are getting your moneys worth out of the purchase then don't buy the game.

I remembered how much I hated the EA UFC 3 beta and then the retail version pleasantly surprised me after it was polished. Surely issues showed up after more playtime, and people using cheese to win. But I still got my fun with the game.

As I am skeptical about the last phase of development, I am not going to pre-order the game until I try it on EA Access. But that doesn't mean anything because I rarely pre-order games to begin with.

As said before, the poll at best, reflects how the beta has been received among OS visitors. The main audience is probably still excited just because you can fight in a backyard.

I cancelled my pre-order. This game is not worth for full price.

No. And furthermore why would anyone? At this point you don’t even know what your getting. It would be like buying a car sight unseen.

About 3 weeks out and we still don’t even have a roster, game modes list, or any other other features outside of a beta that as far as I can tell was poorly received:

Correct me if I’m wrong but it has been stated repeatedly that the majority of people play the game offline.
