Swarm pull in #67 ranked class
Westlake, OH -- Signing Day has come and gone, and the dust has settled on Dion Barkley's first recruiting class. Westlake State have pulled in the #67 ranked class, as per ESPN, headlined by 4 star wideout Nic Johnson and JUCO ATH Kevin Campbell, both of whom are expected to start in 2019. Outside of them and maybe OL Tim Pembroke, this class lacks instant impact players. However, guys like Jeremy Watson, Davion Williams, and Nick Watts have a ton of potential and could possibly start as soon as 2020. The full class can be found below.
Elsewhere in the American, Kalispell have somehow pulled in the #9 overall recruit, ATH Chris Washington, who's expected to play both ways as a wideout and defensive back. Navy had the best class of any AAC team, coming in at #34. Houston, who finished the year at #11, pulled in a pair of 5 star wideouts: Ricky Simmons and the aptly-named Kevin Houston.
Kentucky are on the rise, finishing last season ranked 22nd, and grabbed a dynamic duo in #1 wideout Eddie Gooslby as well as #1 dual-threat QB Travis Brittain. Their class ranked 19th.
The traditional powers stay at the top, with Oklahoma, Alabama, Texas A&M, Penn State, and Clemson reeling in the nation's top 5 classes.
