    MVP Edition

New to the pre order purchase. If I preorder the MVP Edition off of Amazon will I have the physical copy of the game on the 25th (3 days prior) or will it be some code or download I have to do and I recieve the physical copy on the 28th? Any help would be appreciated

    Re: MVP Edition

When I look on Amazon I see the standard release date is 28th and the MVP Edition is 25th. So I'd think if you pay for MVP you'd get the game on the 25th.

Barring any shipping delays. Then again, sometimes they get things out the warehouse early, so they make the release date.

I have pre ordered through Amazon for the last 4 releases. I've done the early edition each of the 4 years it has been option. I have received a physical copy of the game on early release day every time with no issues.

Just be aware that expecting timeliness in the middle of pandemic, while the Post Office is under siege, might not be the best option.

Not saying there will be delays, but I would be prepared. If getting the game by launch day is important, I'd suck it up and go digital.

Looks like you were correct. I just got a message from Amazon that I can expect my delivery on the 27th. It releases tomorrow and hasn't even shipped. I canceled and am buying digital. I hate buying digital, since I never feel like I actually own the game just the right to play it.

I was like you for a long time. Wanted my disc. I started just buying my games digitally about two years ago and it works fine. I don't get mad at my kids for stealing my games or pissed because the disc is thrown on the floor or just left laying wherever out of the case. Since, even when you have the disc it is still a large download and install. Plus you can have the game ready to at on release day. No more being excited to play the game when you buy the disc to only get home and have to wait three hours for it to install.

That sucks man. I'm sorry about that. Glad you were able to cancel though. And digital isn't that bad. If you're on Xbox you can gameshare and paying 1/2 price for every game makes the weirdness of digital magically disappear

I was always physical preorder at GameStop for years. I switched over to digital on Madden/the Show the last two years though. Much easier. Download it at midnight and go to sleep so I can mess with it before work in the morning.

Now I only buy physical on Switch games like any Mario or Pokémon; the reason being is those type of games don’t lose their value over time. Look at games from N64 and their still selling used at retail cost. Next summer when the next batch of sports games comes out, the disc is worth a fraction. That’s my point of view as a collector of new and used games from various systems.
                      Currently playing:
                      Madden 26
                      MLB The Show 25
                      Super Mario Wonder
                      Pokemon Unbound

                      Teams:
                      New York Mets
                      New York Jets
                      Philadelphia Flyers

It's a little bit of the old school in me. Plus I use to give my copy to a coworker for his little kid until he got old enough to realize that his new copy of madden wasn't exactly the new copy of madden. After that I started donating it to the local resale shop. I know they make a ton of money off of it but felt good lol.

I do like the idea of just turning it on and playing when it's released. That part helps this impatient old head.

Sorry, man. My wife gets a ton of deliveries for various things, and things have gotten wonky over the last month or two. I actually just cancelled an order with Amazon that seems like it might be lost.
