Madden 21 Equipment

I didn't see a thread for this so I'm excited to start one.. I'm sure many of y'all are seeing the new madden 21 footage going around and realize the lack of equipment additions to the game outside of "The Yard". I'm going to drop some of the items we have once again failed to see added to Madden (outside of the yard) *once again*

Mouth Pieces
Different sock lengths for teams with striped socks (ex: Bears, Chiefs, Bills, etc.)
Different Towel Locations (Lamar has his signature pre-snap motion of wiping this hand on his towel placed on his rear, however, the towel is missing)
Black Turf Tape (like Mark Ingram wears in real life)
Undershirts coming out from under the jersey
Realistic spat on cleats (this is something that was realistic on madden 2003! But now its been wrong for last like 7 maddens).
*Side note who in the NFL wears bulky tape?! I've rarely seen it but they have it in the game but won't add realistic gear we see on Sundays!!

Please feel free to add to this list. It's madden 21, I think we deserve more realistic equipment on the game.

Arm sleeves are painted on in every mode except the yard. That kind stuff should be embarrassing for the devs.

Great list! Here are a few things that have been on my equipment wishlist for awhile...

• The James Develin/Brandon Fusco neck roll
• The ability to have smaller shoulder pad sizes for skill position guys and specialists
• The ability to have a sleeve on one arm and turf tape on the other
• The addition of baggy/loose full sleeves
• Shooter sleeves with padding on the elbow
• Undershirts should terminate above the elbow, like so
• Similar to MLB The Show, I'd love to see color edit options for gloves and cleats
• Modern thigh pad designs, such as those worn by Jimmy Garoppolo and Tyree Mayfield; these have become more common while the Nike ones that have been in the game for years are hardly worn these days
• The option for kickers and punters to not wear thigh/knee pads at all; this was previously an option circa M12/M13.
• Turn sock height into a slider/scale (similar to the way shoulder pad size is currently handled). I've felt that quite a few players have sock heights that fall somewhere in between the four pre-sets. For instance, when Kap was still in the league, I always thought he had a sock height right between "Standard" and "Long".

For a long time, I was one of those people who couldn't have cared less about equipment, but over the past 4-5 years, I've really come to appreciate how accurate equipment can play a huge role in regards to player individuality/authenticity, and immersion.

Man this was a fantastic list, made me remember a couple of things I forgot.

One regular cleat and one kicker cleat for kickers. Another thing they used to have in madden but removed for whatever reason.

Also, on I remember on Madden 07 (PS2/XBOX360), players could be edited individually to wear different color cleats.

One more thing would be the ability to have a 1/4 sleeve and a shooter sleeve on the same arm. Not many guys do this, but a few high-profile QBs do, most notably Carson Wentz.

its 2020 and the stuff listed above are not in/updated is just sad lol

would be funny if they only add/update gear in nxt gen

Do you have early access? Heard they're not in the game also (couple of Youtubers said it). Doubt in next gen this year either... The bulk of their resources clearly went to FOTF and the Yard...

It could just be withheld from the game then added in on a day one patch as a surprise addition. I had/have hope because some NFL players are wearing them in the yard. It’s confusing right now. Fingers crossed!

Yep, all the footage I've seen of Madden 21 so far hasn't showed any significant equipment additions. There are a few new cleats that I've noticed, some new gloves, and the addition of the Oakley logos on the visors. Even the madden 21 next gen footage from EA play doesn't have any significant additions that madden fans have been asking for for the last few years.

New cleats and the pink visors are the only new equipment additions in franchise per a few content creators.
