Madden 21 Face of the Franchise

Last year, I personally found it helpful to see how other players development throughout the story and if their cutscene and experience was different then mine. It wasn't....Hoping 3rd time is a charm though!

I watched 3 different EA Game Change videos and they all went to the Bears. As someone else here mentioned it may be a simple 'switch flip'

Throughout High School I was playing offense only.
Lost my first game by 3 and still made it to the Championship game. I don't think they ever mentioned if the first game was a playoff game or not.

Finally made it to the Scouting Combine.

Decided to leave early and stay at QB and for a sim draft pick.
I ran a 4.46 hitting all prompts. Then did not press the first two and pressed the last one and got a 5.02 (I think).

Bad day throwing too. Went 3 for 10.

4th Round went to the Chicago Bears. I'm curious what others get, because at this point it seems like we should just pick our team.

I still haven't seen a video of someone not being drafted by the Bears... I don't want to start FotF until I see that is fixed.

I just started another one as a RB and selected to play for the Cardinals. Got drafted first round.

As QB on last playthrough. I went thru the season with the Bears and eventually got cut. Then had the option to randomly get signed to a team or pick a team. Of course I did Random and got placed on the Texans, whom still had Watson!

I absolutely hate how you only have two options at the end of your Junior Year. There's no reason you wouldn't have the option to transfer, a matter of fact, I guarantee if that situation happened in real life, the QB would transfer 10/10 times.

Other than that, I can't get past the interview. Every time I select Sim Draft Pick, it goes to a black screen and just stays there. :/

EDIT: Finally got into the Combine. Ran a 4.46 and 10/10 on the passing tree. Drafted by the Bears as well, lol.

Starting with a 79 OVR, so named the starter. They got my college wrong, says Dusquene, which isn't even an option. Went to Oklahoma.

I asked on Reddit and everyone there has only been drafted by the Bears too. That's over a dozen people I've found drafted by the bears, and I haven't heard of a single example otherwise. Either it's a bug or they actually built the game like that.

I breezed through the highschool games nearly shutting out everyone by 40+ points, all the way through the first game in college vs the gators. Now i have to play them again in the first college playoff game. That's where I left off.

FSU isnt in the game so I chose to play at Michigan State. But I'm thinking about starting over with another team, maybe Clemson.

face of franchise is terrible 4 reasons why
#1 mathews an my player are supposed to share time but i play the whole game.
#2 they have the voice over but you have to read the text and so little time
to pick your options.
#3 and for some reason i was not able to super sim one game and i had to play the whole thing and mathews did not play at all
there's other reasons bu i cant think of it now.
i bought madden every year since 1990 and im not going to buy it this year.

On point #1, if you play well enough, Matthews isn't supposed to come into those games in which your player starts. I don't know if it's hard-coded or not though, I played very well in both games. Not sure if I would have sucked if he had come in.

That said, that's another thing that I hate, the game claims that the coach is going to stick to the hot hand, however, no matter how well you play, he's going to choose Tommy and you're forced to switch positions if you want a chance at the Heisman, or you have to leave early.

I beat the Gators and Nebraska and LSU soundly. 42-3, 62-0, and 35-3. That said, I do believe it impacted how well my character was rated and drafted when I left early.

I recommend just selecting the team you want to play for.

In my second playthrough as a RB, I forced selection by the Cardinals. I'm on player lock as well. It's been great so far. Games aren't as scripted as college. I did notice different cut scenes as well. Not sure if it's due to playing RB vs QB, randomization or forcing draft pick instead of sim.

We did not make the super bowl our first year. I was playing on All Madden, which is extremely hard at RB considering. Murray kept throwing Ints. I did LOVE how he was scrambling on his own though. I'm going to switching to All Pro for my second season.

Did you choose to play the full franchise or the condensed mode? Does anyone know the difference between the two? Do you lose the storylines/press conferences if you go into a full franchise?

I ran a 4.46 40 as a qb and I’m only a 65 in speed. How does that make sense? I was also drafted by da bears.

Did you choose to play the full franchise or the condensed mode? Does anyone know the difference between the two? Do you lose the storylines/press conferences if you go into a full franchise?

I assume I'm in the condensed mode...i did not change anything. There is an option to switch to classic Franchise though. I think it mentions losing out on the story aspect.

Edit switching to classic Franchise will cause you to lose progress in this season story & become ineligible for legacy leaderboard progress

Looking for some help here...
On the main menu, I have the game set at All-Pro difficulty, so I assumed that would carry through to Face of the Franchise. I played through all of the high school and college stuff, thinking it was super easy. But no matter what I did, there was no way that I could change or even check the difficulty. It's just a series of cutscenes and games where I have no options at the pause menu but replay or exit.

I got drafted (by the Bears, surprise) and played all the way to the Super Bowl, again surprised at how easy it seemed. I thought that maybe it was because of all the boosts that I put on my player, etc. But, no. In the NFL, you finally have a settings menu and I checked and it was set to Rookie. Rather than take all of the cheapness that I'd just played through, I decided to start over, thinking maybe I'd missed something in the HS/college section. And, no. Still no option to change difficulty. This leads me to believe that no matter what your setting is set on in the main menu, you play all the way up to the NFL on Rookie and there's no possible way to change it.

Has anyone found a way to change this? It makes the first several hours of the mode incredibly cheap.
