4k madden 21 frame rate drops (ps4 pro)

So I upgraded to a 65 inch tv a few months ago, what’s the best 4K setting for madden that runs at a constant without any frame rate drops? I have a ps4 pro and every other game runs silky smooth but I’m getting a ton of stutter with madden. Am I missing something? Also running with hdr off.

I have the base PS4 and my game is stuttering as well. For me it's mainly during kickoffs and extra points/field goals. I missed 2 extra points and shanked a kickoff because in one game because the game stuttered and the meter flew past the intended mark.

Seeing the same on the Xbox One X. It's pretty bad. Especially before points, as they're walking to the line, during graphics, and with the kick meter.

Yeah I don't think it's your tv. I'm having the same issue. I believe it's the game itself. Maybe there will be a day 1 patch that fixes the issue

I’m glad somebody posted this because I was starting to think it was my PS4 pro. Madden stutters so much it’s ridiculous. I’m guessing it’s because the day one patch won’t release until the game actually comes out

How do you know there are 21 framerate drops? How did you count them?? /s






Was Madden NFL 20 okay regarding 4K and framerate? If so, I'm sure that you can expect a patch within a couple weeks of the official launch.

Having the same problem as well. Started adjusting settings thinking it was my TV or PS4 but it’s just the game. The frame rate lags are atrocious.

Here is what I think is going on. The lighting and contrast of M21 is more vibrant than m20. Almost like it’s pushing the limit of its graphical output. I believe this is to port over to the PS5. I believe this output is what’s causing the frame rate drop. Even though M21 on the ps5 is separately developed , I believe that they are using the core of M20 to build from

PS4 pro here just running at 1080p with the boost mode on and it plays smooth but I do get the stutter at the line of scrimmage with the QB.

same here. PS4 pro..65 inch Samsung 4k tv.....Same frame rate issues as everyone else. It seems to me during cut scenes and kickoffs/ etc. Once you notice is, its hard to not notice. frustrating

Day 1 patch on Xbox One, stuttering and frame rate drops still here.

I'm on a regular PS4 and I'm still getting plenty of stuttering, frame rate drops, and the like

im on pc with a 9900k and 2080ti, both watercooled. Temps never above 55c on both, separate loops. Same frame drops with the best hardware.
