    All-Pro vs. All-Madden

I wanted to get a feel for the differences that are being seen between the two.

I have spent my first 9 hours playing the same match up and going back and forth between AP and AM.

AP I go default and AM I use mine set from last year which lean heavily towards the human to be competitive.

To this point I feel that the CPU on AM is very hard to slow down especially their pass game which seems to have wide open pass catchers all over the field. Very hard to stop even with my sliders.

On AP I can move the ball too easily and while the cpu does make plays on offensive there are not enough that I feel threatened.

    Thoughts?

That's really good to hear about All Madden. I only played the trial on All Pro. I had a couple close games, including a few where I had to come from behind to win at the very end. I also had some 45-10, 63-10 blowouts. I had the same impressions in general of the AI not being good enough at running or passing to really threaten me. I'm looking forward to trying All Madden after what you said though. What are your All Madden sliders?

Separate difficulties for offense and defense would be nice.

Been saying this for years as well, makes too much sense to allow people to do Offense and Defense on separate difficulties. Either that or make a 5th difficulty that is in between AP and AM.

Maybe I'll make some tweaks as I play more games, but besides putting the speed parity slider up to 75, I'm playing on All-Madden and it seems incredibly balanced to me. If the CPU boosts are still there, I can't detect them during games.

Do this today: Instead of $%*#!@& on a game you're not going to play or movie you're not going to watch, say something good about a piece of media you're excited about.

Do the same thing tomorrow. And the next. Now do it forever.

I'm on the same thoughts has well. Cpu Accuracy, User accuracy, CPU int the usually suspects I've adjusted again this yr. Haven't tried All Pro this yr.

Why put the speed parity slider up? I hate this. Makes a 90 speed no more valuable than a 99 speed

This is a falsehood I see parroted all the time RE: speed parity. It's just not true.

Source: have run a league of 32 humans for years, always at a higher speed parity. People still draft speed, speed WRs still are dangerous downfield threats with Yds per Catch #s that would make NFL teams blush.

What higher spd disparity does do (besides the fact that it's provably/measurably more in line with the actual speed gap in the NFL, which frankly is a good enough reason all by itself; they don't call football "a game of yards") is make it so that speed isn't such a dominant rating. It enables aggressive coverage options that you see all the time IRL but simply are not possible on stock sliders. But it definitely still impacts the game and fast players are absolutely still coveted.

That’s why I used to LOVE the dynamic difficulty in the PS3 era. Every year I get to a place where I am too good for all pro, but can’t stand the unrealistic cheating of the CPU on all madden. I am not good enough at sliders to correct the issue either. I also like how MLB the shows difficulties are not set in stone. Instead of just being rookie, pro, all star there is all star plus for example. That way if your too good for all star but not quite ready for legend or hall of fame you can find a nice medium

Pass coverage is either broken or just straight up trash. It's literally impossible to stop the CPU pass attack because players just don't play their zones correctly. Any of them. I feel like if pass coverage is fixed, All Madden could be fantastic this year.

Its the same thing every year. All pro is too easy, and all-madden too hard.

I prefer for the cpu to feel dangerous and an actual threat, so I play all Madden with some slider tweaks. I think the user offense is pretty good on All Madden, I just turn up wr catch a bit so I am rewarded for fitting throws in tight windows to my wrs.

User defense is where the real work has to be done, or the cpu will throw 90% all day regardless of personnel. I have found in the past that the user interception slider has a bigger and more consistent impact against the pass than the other 2 sliders. I just turn ball hawk off to keep myself from causing too many ints.

So far in '21 I haven't had to adjust anything for the running game for either team. Maybe cpu tackling could go down a hair to get some more user broken tackles... Otherwise I am LOVING the running game this year.
