Can't test now, but this is actually a good question.ZombieRommel on YouTube - UFC3 coverage has begun! -
Re: ringgirl round intros removed ?
You can add it to the dozen of removed features I guess.
Though it adds to immersion, this one I don't really care about. Still a pity anything gets removed.Comment

Re: ringgirl round intros removed ?
I can think of plenty of reasons why EA would take the ring girls out of their game. I think having them in the background is a fair compromise.Comment

Re: ringgirl round intros removed ?
The ring girls are a part of MMA, regardless of how you may feel about them. EA have had them in all of their games so it makes sense to include them in #4. I don’t think you can just pick and choose what is in your game and what isn’t when you’re supposed to be making a sports game. You can’t not include TKOs when they’re a part of the sport and you can’t not include draws and doctor stoppages. Although it’s a smaller issue, you can’t not have ring girls walking around the octagon before the start of every round.Comment

Re: ringgirl round intros removed ?
The ringgirls do walk around the octagon in the background but the close up leaving the octagon and announcing their name is gone which is such a normal part of the pre fight it should not have been removed, why would they have to redo them again just use the animations they already have .Comment

Well, the game doesn't, and it doesn't seem to bother the UFC.The ring girls are a part of MMA, regardless of how you may feel about them. I'm not saying what they should and shouldn't do. I'm saying it's pretty clear why EA would make this change.Comment

Re: ringgirl round intros removed ?
What would be one of those reasons? It's not like its a game made for kids, or that the UFC tries to hide ring girlsComment

Re: ringgirl round intros removed ?
There really is no clear reason actually. I'd rather have the shot of the ring girls leaving the Octagon then a shot of the ref asking the fighters if they're ready, followed by an overdone pose.
The only "Clear" reason is that they'v completely given up trying to recreate a broadcast as you would see on TV, which is embarresing as a "Simulation" sports title.Comment

1) It's not a simulator.
2) Are you really this bothered about not seeing pixel cleavage?¯\_(ツ)_/¯Comment

Re: ringgirl round intros removed ?
I could speculate one of the ring girls they’ve had playing in the same cut screen for the past 3 games is no longer under contract and her likeness can no longer be used by the UFC?
Otherwise I could see no reason why they’d sundown that cut scene other than they have had the same scene in pretty much every installment of this series.Comment

Re: ringgirl round intros removed ?
Sure, but this honestly isn't the biggest issue by far. The ridiculous part is that they are in fact still there. You notice them during the title fights only. All they need is a 2 second closeup camera. Wouldn't take them long to add and nobody can possibly have an objection against this as that's how it works. Any complaints they're gonna have to take up with the UFC themselves.
The lack of Megan Olivi is a much bigger issue! XD
Anyhow, what makes this an actual issue is the enormous levels of cringe I get when the ref introduces the fighters. Ffs, destract from this. Not only are there the ridiculous dances the CaF's do, but the ref... nobody acts like that man.Last edited by Blackman316; 08-27-2020, 05:48 AM.Comment
