cannot submit cpu on hard or higher

I can submit cpu on easy both choke and joint with sliders,on normal can choke submit but not joint sub and on hard i cannot finish either submission spending an hour with Charles Oliviera trying to submit Diekese a kickboxer even when his stamina is next to zero his blue bar still never stops moving fast all over the place it is a joke. Devs need to lower the cpu sub defence on hard difficulty and the game would be great. Using a submission specialist should not be this hard.

i subbed charles olivera, jim miller and tony ferguson on legendary.

i think you need to practice more, i feel it is pretty easy to sub them overall.

In legendary difficulty I can easily submit with chokes, but joint submissions are a struggle to finish or escape

show me on youtube and prove difficulty setting and show everyone how it is done, i am not saying you are lieing but i have tried every way slow ,fast and as smooth as possible but how do you keep your bar to stay on the cpu bar and stop the bottom blue bar filling up so quickly.

Can someone put up videos on Youtube on how to submit the cpu on harder difficulties for UFC 4 and go into detail on how to move the stick, there is not one video available. All the videos are for UFC 3. Again i am not saying other people are lieing about getting them on legendary but anyone can come on here including myself and say anything even if you don't even play the game.

Sure I’ll see if I can record tomorrow, I don’t have a mic though so I can just explain after

UFCBLACKBELT i don't know if you have tried HARD difficulty but i thought i would give Legendary a go which i would never do and what i suspected was the submission defence is no harder or easier than Legendary even without sliders,i was doing just as well on legendary on choke subs and maybe even got closer on Joint subs on Legendary. I also loved the standup on Legendary and thought they did not defend much more than on Hard. I also think the cpu uses more stamina on Legendary because they are more active. I even won by knockout on Legendary which i did not think i could do. Have EA messed up the difficulty settings because Hard seems too hard compared to Legendary at least for submissions.

I’ll try both, from my experience hard was easier. Any requested matchup?

Same. The AI just homes your block for the joint game, but the other game they seem to use the same pattern. So I just steer far away from joint subs.

                      Here you go dude.

Two fights with Oliv vs diakiese, one with choke sub and the other with joint.

The only real challenge when it comes to legendary AI is taking them down because they have heat-seeking uppercuts of death. If you don't have a good wrestler this is about the only part where it can be difficult, especially if the AI is a counter-fighter AI. I also tried not to strike too much in this fight so that it didnt seem like stamina was the reason the AI got tapped.

Also, just for fun. Tapping Maia out with Conor.

The main issue with the AI in general is that although they are much better this year with fakes, they still make bad calls that drain their stamina and make it easy to tap them out. For example, Maia went for the back and then after already having a GA disadvantage and stamina disadvantage went for another transition, very easy to deny if you practice enough.

In terms of subbing, its all a matter of practice. Choke sub offense is just about following the speed of your opponent, use the rumbling on your controlling to gauge if you're on point or off, focus on any quick button prompts.

For joint subs, learn how to press lightly on R2/L2 (ps4). Romero described it as "Rocking the boat" where you should be able to move them bar like a rocking boat without it blowing up in size. If it suddenly gets large it means you're applying too much pressure. Overtime you will get better and better, and you can learn new patterns to throw your opponents off and pick up on their patterns. The CPUs patterns overall are pretty predictable after you have played some real players.

Edit: For some reason some of the vids have small skips, not sure why. This happens sometimes when I record, I just use the PS4 share recording thing, you can tell by stamina and placement that its the same fight.

Thank you UFCBLACKBELT i will study the videos and keep your instructions above. I just so happened on Hard have had 3 choke subs somehow with 3 fighters,i circled quite quickly to left and right with a very slight pause sometimes so it would sit on his gauge,as you said try and get those rumbles as much as possible and it seems to drain the defender. Joint subs are harder but i will keep at it,now on to your videos thanks again.

He beat me to it lol. You got me curious so I loaded up Oliveira vs Diakiese on Hard and was able to get a joint and choke sub. Clips are currently uploading to Xbox DVR. Might be awhile before they show up. Good post Blackbelt
