Not trying to spam videos but here is some footage and info I was able to get from 2 guys that got the game early

WNBA player editing is in the game
Team USA 2012 and 2016 can be used in MyLeague
New options for shoe brands that can be edited
hair seems to have the same options
New animations added
New GUI for menus, more simplistic ( I like it, probably easier to mod also)

So I've been looking through YouTube at the various vids, and while most are streaming Blacktop and the CAP system (both seemingly identical to 2k20, except sig shots now have shot speed of course, and there are some new animations, I believe), I found one that shows MyLeague: https://youtu.be/WjI34UTJY_s?t=5060

Some takeaways:
- No surprise, it looks basically the same.
- You cannot start in the offseason, only in Dec. 2020 (the game's fake 2020-21 season start date), though maybe offseason will be possible once the servers come on.
- No official 2020 draft class anyway. I was probably overly optimistic but I was hoping we'd get a 2020 class that at least included the handful of rookies who have already partnered with 2k for MyTeam cards. Oh well...
- When you start your league, guys who are 2020 free agents are re-signed to the teams they're currently on for a 1-year-deal at their 2019-20 salary... for instance, Jordan Clarkson is on the Jazz with a 1-year $13.44mil contract. Yuck. By contrast, players who are under contract in 2020-21 in real life have their contract appearing correctly (ex., Joel Embiid is listed as having a 3-year contract, 2020-21 salary $29.54mil, which is accurate). What a mess. I sincerely hope starting in the offseason is activated at launch and that there's a way to import custom rosters for the offseason.

Don't understand the excitement for this new version when you can't really even call it an update without the rookies added. Not griping, or putting it down, but just wondered y they are pushing this out when the NBA has not drafted yet!!!!!?

Might seem minor to others but not starting til December is what’s keeping me from buying it now. I prob will around December. I was going PC for my own expansion team and since PC has no restrictions on number of relocations like the consoles do.

Seems to me that whatever major updates will be done with the patch. Someone played with the Hawks at State Farm Center last night, no identity update.

I'm excited and in day 1 because I'm someone that mostly prioritizes gameplay first and I already played 2K20 a lot.

With 2K21, the small refinements and adjustments with the gameplay, along with the new shot aiming mechanic has me very interested. I expect to have a lot of fun just diving into quick play games against the AI.

I'm excited and in day 1 because I'm someone that mostly prioritizes gameplay first and I already played 2K20 a lot.



With 2K21, the small refinements and adjustments with the gameplay, along with the new shot aiming mechanic has me very interested. I expect to have a lot of fun just diving into quick play games against the AI.

I’m excited too, but mostly because how many of us really even go all out in MyLeague in the first 2-3 months anyway? Between now and next-gen, all I wouldve been doing anyway is Play Now (for fun and also to tweak sliders if necessary, though Im loving the feel of the demo as-is), simming MyLeague to adjust sliders there, and roster / draft class building. Thats all I was doing in 2k20 till like Jan., so whatever

Is there still a restriction? I know there used to be, but I. 2k20 I have 6 expansion teams, 2 relocations, and 10 other teams with new uniforms.

Anyone have this yet? Love this game, but just not sure about it w no rookies. Wondering if 2k20 is all I still need until rookies come out?
