Re: A New Era In Raiders Football

Year 1 Week 1 Season Opener

Las Vegas Raiders 14 Carolina Panthers 34

It wasn't a very pleasant day for the Las Vegas Raiders as they drop their season opener to the Carolina Panthers 34-14. It was disastrous from the start as the Raiders took the opening drive sown the field and missed a 29 yard field goal and the Panthers came back and marched down the field to get one of there own to take a 3-0 lead and they were off and running. The Raiders offense could not move the ball as the Panthers were all over everything nothing the Raiders did on offense seemed to work. Carr finished 21- 31 for 304 yards and 2 TD's but most of that came in the second half as they were trying to play catch-up and Tyrell Williams caught 9 balls for 142 and a TD that was the only bright spot for the Raiders. As for the defense they have seen better days as they could not stop the Panthers passing attack as Teddy Bridgewater completed a whopping 84% of his passes going 32-38 for 323 yards and 3 TD's. The Raiders could not get any pass rush on him as he stood in the pocket and like a sniper picked them off one by one as the Panthers went up and down the field. This is a game we will have to forget in a hurry said coach Gruden. We cant get down on ourselves it was just one game we have to go back to the drawing board and start over we have 15 games left to prepare and the game next week is the most important game we to put this game behind and get ready for next Sunday. Next Sunday will be a big game as the Raiders have the home opener on NBC Sunday Night football against Drew Brees and the high powered New Orleans Saints.20200904_024906.jpeg20200904_025059.jpeg
