Re: Worth it?
Based on current gameplay, 21 all day. The QB play is on another level, among other improvements. Franchise is the same but there is potentially improvements coming later this year for 21. As long as patches don't ruin gameplay, 21 is nice product on the field. -
Re: Worth it?
As much as it pains me to agree with someone named "GoBlue"...ewww...
I 100% agree....M20 isn't a bad game, but 21 kicks its butt on the field. The vitriol is directed more at them not doing much with CFM between M20 and M21; which is immaterial for you.Play the games you love, not the games you want to love.Comment

Re: Worth it?
From a game play standpoint M21 is better than M20. Franchise is the same right now between the two. The new DL moves, tackling, reach ball animation etc. I mean these seem like small additions but really go a long way when it comes to Madden. Supposedly Franchise will get some updates & have more than M20.Last edited by Darth Aegis; 09-03-2020, 10:30 PM.OS needs a Thumbs DOWN button

Re: Worth it?
If you're planning on upgrading your system this year to PS5 or XBox Series X then I'd get 21. It will offer a free upgrade once you get the new system.Check out my updated 2017 blog on building a high school football video game:

Re: Worth it?
Agree it's worth it, especially since you don't have 20 (and thus won't be disappointed with the lack of at-launch improvements to franchise).Comment

Re: Worth it?
I am genuinely baffled how anyone could recommend M21 for a primarily franchise player.Hey all. So, I skipped 20. Is 21 worth picking up or would grabbing 20 at a cheaper price be pretty much just the same? Strictly franchise player. Thanks.

If you're a stick jockey sure, go nuts but you would have a more rewarding franchise experience playing the 6th or 7th generation... in my opinion of course

Re: Worth it?
I'm genuinely baffled how people still don't understand that franchise play can and does include on-field gameplay, and thus how upgrades in on-field gameplay can improve a franchise playthrough over 20.
It's not like "stick jockey" and "franchise player" are strictly exclusive groups.Comment

Re: Worth it?
Nobody else's opinions matter. You can play the game for free for 10 hours through ea access. Try it out and make a call from your own experience with the game.Comment

because the gameplay is that much better, making franchise games fun and less repetitiveComment

Re: Worth it?
I would just try to wait on the next free game code dump. I refuse to pay $60+ for any game. I have 5 games on my PS4 dashboard, 3 were free, and the other 2 were less than $20. I use 3 year cycles for sports games so Madden 21 was never a game I was planning on getting, I have played the game for about 20 minutes. If you skipped 20 then 21 will feel like an upgrade over the last Madden you played.
At the end of the day base your decision to buy the game on what you want to do. We all play/enjoy the game in different ways, do what makes you happy.Relax, it's just a video game!Comment
