How’s EA UFC 4 so far ?
Curious on how’s everything going with the game ? What’s the landscape like? What are your thoughts ? How does it play ? Are mma fans missing anything ? And etc. Just thoughts so far , I don’t have this game for obvious reasons but I am curious on other peoples opinions after playing for what feels like a month or 2 after releaseTags: None -

What are these "obvious reasons"? People don't keep track of you and what you said in the past. Whether you'll like the game now depends on those.¯\_(ツ)_/¯ -

Obvious reasons as every reason ever stated on here, well most but that’s not what im talking about. Also you can look at my name and the people I have talked to will recognize me on here just like I do with everyone else on here but thats besides the point. I’m asking you and others questions on UFC 4 like what’s the state of the game after a month or 2, how does it play? , anything new ?, is a MMA fan like myself missing out ? And etc. Haven’t been THAT active on here ever since release so idk what’s going on at all so I would like to know.Comment

If you want information on whether the game would appeal to you personally then you would make it easier if you just said what you care about.
The game's largely the same as on launch but there's been some balance tweaks. If you want a simulator then it's not that (and it never will be) and the offline modes are still very barebones but if you spent most of your time playing UFC 3 online then you'll probably get some enjoyment out of it. It's better than UFC 3 was at this point.
My biggest gripe is the post-launch ads which may be bothersome enough for me to get UFC 5 but we'll have to see.¯\_(ツ)_/¯Comment

the game still has problems: the spam hasn't been fixed, the purple screen glitch (while reduced) hasn't gone away, no roster updates or at the very least allowing us to customise offline CAFs.
Oh and there are now full screen ads in a £60 gameComment

Yeah remember my boy telling me something about ads but I didn’t know it was like full screen ads. Me personally I wouldn’t mind it as long as there’s a skip button from the start and it was a little bottom right ad but yeah i’ve been doing some more research on the game and I’m guessing the game is going to need a lot more time to be fully flushed out. I was just curious on everyone’s mixed opinions, is there a road map ?Comment

The game caters to arcade style of play. It's honestly not worth it if you're looking for a realistic experience.Comment

Re: How’s EA UFC 4 so far ?
good so far. when i am having fun, i am really having fun, and when im not the game is abysmal. i like the idea of the random weightclasses, but lately it has been reducing the game's replayability for me. i can only play with valentina shevchenko so many times. many of the errors that are going on with the game certainly can be patched out and the game is already playing much better after this most recent patch, so i am hopeful for the future.
some major dislikes i currently have are regarding pressure fighting, and counter fighting not being the best option. right now its like your opponent can keep pushing, throwing nonsense with little to no consequence. currently, i do not feel that strikes do not do enough general damage, especially counter strikes. an opponent threw a headkick that i ducked and countered with a hook uppercut and they kept trudging along without a rock or a drop. it seems that characters can take too much damage across the board to the point that their individual ratings do not seem to matter at all.
positives are the new clinch/ td mechanics. while i often am getting toasted by the individuals who really know whats going on, it is still fun, and i feel like i have to be mindful of everything which is similar to a real MMA fight. i feel EA nailed it there. striking also feels much better compared to last year, and once pressuring, and stamina are in check the game as a whole will be in a much better place
lots of room for improvement going forward, once it hits $15-30 you should definitely copComment

Re: How’s EA UFC 4 so far ?
If they can buff the block/head movement so walking forward throwing strikes isn't so completely overpowered, then the game might be fun. Still the best MMA game to date, as a lot of the grappling is really fun, but the striking is a **** show.
Single shots on the outside and trying to be evasive are just not an effective way to play the game. Not really interested in a Paulo Costa sim, so will probably leave it now until the next patch.Comment

Re: How’s EA UFC 4 so far ?
- gameplay is based towards arcadey fighting
- lists of bugs that should never have made it out of production, let alone still be in the game at this point, ie no music for one fighter in each event match up
- terrible (non existent) atmosphere with the crowd barely reacting to anything
- repetitive boring commentary
- delayed disjointed winning cutscenes
- full of emote use
- fighting against pathetic looking create a fighters when you want a serious sports game
- limited ranked mode options
- terrible matchmaking in ranked mode, regularly fighting divisions 10+ higher
- full career mode, untouched from the previous years bar a few cut scenes at the start
- poor ground and pound, no elbows
- boring lay and prey based ground game
- almost impossible to get a KO from the feet
- little red integration for finish the fight
- KOs through block for ground and pound
Yeah it's greatLast edited by lbnt149; 09-08-2020, 02:24 PM.Comment
