Why are the devs so quiet??? what's going on with this game and when are we getting an official patch and not an "Emergency" patch.

I think most people are going to be surprised by the amount of support this game is gonna get in comparison to 3. EA is not about to support this for the next year when next-gen is just around the corner.
Maybe if they decide to re-release it on PS5/XSX. But I don't know that those patches would carry over to current-gen.Comment

I would have to agree with the two above statements. What is the incentive to keep patching this game and adding post lunch support when 1. People are gonna buy the next game no matter what and 2. The next gen console is coming out very soonComment

I don't know if they will support this game for a while or not, but I honestly don't think the next gen consoles are going to be much of a factor in that area.
Most games are going to be backwards compatible, many of which already announced "Next-gen patches" that will improve games graphically if you are playing them on the new systems.
It seems this generation is going to be treated much more like a hardware upgrade rather than a starting fresh stand-alone type of thing. Which I am 100% cool with.Comment

We're quiet because we're working quite hard on all these damned emergency patches...if people would stop trying to take the fighters' clothes off, we could all move along peacefully. But nooo.
The emergency patches are only done when an issue is severe enough to warrant not waiting for the next major planned update, and needs to be addressed asap (such as the purple screen issue and lack of clothing).
We do not plan to have these emergency patches, but they do slightly delay the major updates. However, we also often sneak in a lot of little things that otherwise you'd have had to wait for so... win some you lose some.Comment

And yes, to confirm, there is another patch coming.
At time of posting, the next update is not an emergency patch but a planned one. While larger than the emergency patches for sure, the fact that we had a few unexpected in-between patches means this one will be smaller than originally planned. Because you already have those other changes....
And before you ask, no I don't honestly know when it will drop, but it's not a month away or something crazy like that. Unless something else goes wrong

UFC has always had incredible post-launch support and content. We had full-scale patches and fighter additions every month for nearly a year after launch in UFC 3 for free, with tons of smaller updates...
The incentive is that we love our community and the game, and want to keep making it better. UFC 3 is a muuch better game now than it was at launch, and that definitely counts for something. Many of those updates also helped set a better foundation for UFC 4.
I don't understand why people still think stuff like this when there's so much evidence to the contrary

I dont agree with everything the game devs say but I can say this is pretty accurate. We dont always agree on game content and improvements but you guys generally do well adding content and making changes after release via patch. Even though I probably (definitely) complain more than I should , I do like the fact that yall do support the games post launchUFC has always had incredible post-launch support and content.
