Re: How's Your FIFA Career Mode Going?
I agree with the previous comments. As often is the case, life goes on, things change, and people get busier. Such has been the case with all of us. Unfortunately this means that our gorgeous thread has, after a long decline, come to its end.
I have been posting here for a couple of months less than five years. That is a very long time. Being able to contribute here provided me with a great way to improve my English, and to interact with a brilliant bunch of like-minded people who hold career mode close to their hearts.
To me, this thread was always more than just a website where I could post stuff about FIFA. It was a fun past-time activity and a way to interact with people from around the world. It was a way to experiment with writing styles. It was a way to learn about different ways people play career mode. Most importantly, it was a way to have fun, to have friendly banter, to chat about more serious things (like that time everyone shared what they do for a living).
The most important, and best, aspect of this thread were always the people and the positivity that radiated from our little community. There were Chico, Tex, Rabbit, Indi, Keano, Cabee, Sportsfreak, Polka, Moose, and many other users who contributed in brilliant ways. There were also some of the greatest FIFA careers ever which will hold a place in my heart: Chico's road to glory with Wimbledon, Rabbit's globetrotter, Indi's Brighton, Tex's Deportivo, Moose's West Ham.
Unfortunately this all has come to an end. Life has gotten the best of us, and our wonderful little thread has come to the end of its days. Although the reasons for this are obvious and completely understandable, I still feel heartache thinking back on our glorious days of the past. I feel like this in understandable given the many years I spent here.
At this point I would like to apologise to Indi. A few years ago, when Chelsea secured the title, I made an immature comment which lead to a small argument between me and him. He apologised the next day, but I didn't. Now I would like to say sorry and apologise to Indi. I was being immature, and it was stupid of me.
Nonetheless, I would like to thank every single one of you for making my experience on this thread an amazing one! You have been the absolutely best bunch of random online strangers I have ever come across, and I remember you all dearly. Thank you for the amazing memories, and I wish you all the best in life!
PS: There's this newer thread which seems to be more active, and I see that Indi has posted there. I was thinking about moving over there myself, and I hope to see some of you there, too!
