When you have the preorder you can download whole game and play all modes on EA Play for 10 hours. It could be that when you have downloaded and started on PS4 that the rest of the game is actually downloaded until complete you only can play the Stanley Cup Finals.

As for scanned faces I will check tomorrow for us and can then post as you suggested.
